Call of Duty: Modern Warfare/Warzone - shutting down September

A year timed exclusive on a game that comes out every year is just unacceptable.

Supply drops likely going pay to win?

Where is the gamer outrage?

As we count down the days until the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, the sixteenth installment of the epic series, we are thrilled to reveal a new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare PS4 Pro bundle launching alongside it on October 25.

Arriving just in time for the holiday season, this new bundle features a jet-black 1TB PS4 Pro system, alongside a matching DualShock 4 wireless controller, and a copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on Blu-Ray Disc.

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare the stakes have never been higher, as players take on the role of lethal Tier One operators in a heart-racing saga that will affect the global balance of power. Players can also enjoy a variety of gameplay options, ranging from a visceral and dramatic single-player story campaign, to classic multiplayer, or cooperative play through a collection of elite operations accessible to all skill levels.

With PlayStation 4 Pro, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans can look forward to a number of features to help bring the most photorealistic environments in franchise history to life. 4K TV owners will appreciate 4K resolution using temporal anti-aliasing with dynamic up-sampling, while HD TV players will benefit from increased image clarity through supersampling when playing on PS4 Pro, compared to PS4. Lastly, players with HDR displays can enjoy grounded combat and fast-paced action with high dynamic range color as well.

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare PS4 Pro Bundle will be available on October 25 at select retail stores across the US and CAN for $399.99 USD (MSRP) / $499.99 CAD (MSRP).

I'm ashamed to admit that I do like these, lol. Don't drink 'em often, but they aren't bad at all.

Two days ago, we informed you about the official PC requirements for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. And today, NVIDIA releasedsome more details about the game’s PC specs. According to these specs, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX2080 will be able to run the game in 4K/Ultra settings with 60fps and Ray Tracing.

For gaming at 1080p with 60fps, NVIDIA recommends using an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or a GTX 1660. For gaming at 1080p with 60fps and Ray Tracing, the green team recommends using an NVIDIA 2060 SUPER.

Competitive players that want framerates as high as 144fps (at 1080p) will need an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 or an RTX 2070 SUPER. Lastly, for gaming at 4K with Ray Tracing, NVIDIA recommends an NVIDIA RTX2080 SUPER.

NVIDIA did not state the graphics settings for these specs, however we can assume that it’s referring to Ultra/Max settings. I mean, it wouldn’t make sense to have Medium or High settings for enabling the Ray Tracing effects.

Who is all pre-ordering this? I see that the X1X version is enhanced, so it should be a looker.

I'm on the fence. I'm hearing that the loot box stuff is only cosmetic and no pay to win, so that's positive.

I was pretty underwhelmed by the beta, but I'll probably end up getting it. Oddly enough to me the smaller game modes were the most fun.

I should probably just buy it and quit complaining about it. The gunplay felt so good. I'm sure I can have some fun with it even if I don't play it a ton.

Not sure what platform either, but probably X1X.

I don't play online like I used to, so buying the game isn't the wisest decision I will have made. But when I do play online once every few months, I always go to COD Team Deathmatch because it's easy in and out.

Yeah honestly I'll get enough hours out of it no matter what. I wish I could wait for it on sale, but waiting just means everyone else is leveled up and knows every inch of every map.

I probably played BO3 less than most but I think I got my money's worth out of it. The game is always good for some pop in mindless fun like you said.

I am most intrigued by the 2 on 2 mode. Thought that was the most addictive.

It's downloading now :)

I had some disc games collecting dust so I traded them in at GameStop for a digital copy. Stupid thing is they still make you come by the store Friday to get the code, I wanted to have it installed early. Why not just text or email the code or put it on your receipt. Not like you can play the game early.

That want you to come in to cross sell you s***!

Get ready to wait in line behind a hundred kids who all decided to do the same thing, only wait until launch day to trade stuff in.

I'm still really torn on this game. Part of me just doesn't want to jump in to something that is only going to irritate me.

The whole "we're not doing lootboxes, but we'll tell you about our model more after launch" is kind of scaring me.

Make sure you get it on disk and then ebay it when finished.

Really my biggest thing is that if I buy it then I'll feel committed to leveling up a ton early on just so I can compete.

The way modern games are made, they really make it hard to play casually. I felt so far behind in the beta. By the time I started people had all the better gun attachments.

The idea of a battlepass is interesting. Destiny 2 just put one in place and it is actually sort of fun. You play and get XP and you can see what you unlock next. It can be very addictive though.

Honestly too, I don't think I've ever sold a game back. :)

Anytime I bought a CoD in the past 10 years I knew I'd get annoyed at the lag comp and I'd want to stick it to them.

Yeah will be interesting to see how everything works, especially cross platform. In the beta, I didn't notice netcode issues, but the weapon balance was so off that it was hard to tell. M4 just shredded anything else.

I'll probably break down and get it. Maybe I'll wait until Saturday to see how everyone else's first night goes.
