Call Of Duty: WWII

We have come full circle. In a few years people will beg for jet packs and pink colored weapon camo.

As predictable as a sunrise. I'm all for the setting, but only way I'd be interested personally if they actually reinvent the other parts of the game too, it's not just the settings that got stale for me. Hope they do a co-op campaign though, would love a good bit of co-op World War 2.

Been waiting for another good WW2 game. Doubt this will be it but at least it's a start.

The setting doesn't mean it will be decent. That job is on the developer and activision family have been turning out terrible games for a number of years now. Unless core problems with the game are addressed, like dedicated servers, I don't hold out much hope for this being any good.

I haven't bought a COD game since Black Ops. I would be willing to give the series a chance again if this is true.

yeah? You don't see them piggy backing on the older game like last year? I do

The only reason they did that was because they wanted to give people a boots on the ground experience. If the main game is boots on the ground... why give another?

Plus, Modern Warfare was an Infinity Ward game. So was Infinite Warfare.

World At War was Treyarch. WWII will be Sledgehammer.

I'm at least interested. That's saying a lot for cod lately.

Just making it WW2 is a start, but they have to change the game from the ultra fast kill trading fest. The past few games have been terrible, not just because of the future setting, but because every round is: spawn, kill, get killed, respawn. You spawn behind someone, kill them, then someone spawns behind you, rinse, repeat.

That would be the height of stupidity.

That would be a sales record breaker. But i get what your reasoning is.

I'm definitely pumped that they're going back to WW2, was never one of those people who was tired of it. It's a war game, based off you know.. actual wars that happened? Futuristic setting is fine for a change but no reason to go away from the roots of the series entirely.

Yeah, it's just pure coincidence that call of duty is copying its competitor.

It's not copying its competitor.

First of all, it's WW2, not WW1.

Second of all, if you want to be pedantic about it, Call Of Duty is copying Battlefield who was copying Call Of Duty.

Since, apparently, in your neanderthal mind, WW1 and WW2 are the same thing.

Actually, Battlefield 1942 released before Call of Duty. So you are a lying pedantic.

Will still have killstreaks, perks, jet packs and wall running.

And zombies.

Can we keep Battlefield out of this thread? You don't see us Call of Duty fans saying CoD is the true pinnacle in Battlefield threads now do you? Nope, never happened. We're humble, but don't poke the bear.

Make no mistake about it, whether this new Call of Duty is set in WW2 or on the damn moon. Call of Duty is, was, and will always be the absolute apex of first person shooters. Nobody is taking that crown.
