A bit off-topic but thought I would show how crazy things are getting right now.

If you missed it, there was recent news that Trials Fusion will be 900p on the Xbox One.

Read the post I replied to, alongside my post here:

We all know that the PS4 is the first time that a Playstation console had the best looking multiplats within its gen right? I still loved the PS1 and PS2... Didn't care since I got those consoles for the games that they had.

Anyway, hours later I get this message:

"You can make fun of owners of a certain console, call a console trash, and say that a console will flop in every thread about it, but don't you dare bring up the history of previous Playstation consoles!" :lol:

Messed up since I like talking about games (obviously, hence why I'm on a decent number of game forums) and liked a decent number of posters on GAF but that's just really ridiculous.

Yeah, this is crazy. This period has been worse in comparison to how I remember the start of the previous gen in 2006. Might be just GAF though. Just thought I would share with others since I'm still in a bit of disbelief right now (haha).

What really embarrasses me is that this is becoming a norm, even here. Every time I express that I am tired of the superiority talk esp. from PS4 and Nvidia video card users it's like they think it normal at the expense of Xbox and AMD users, which is exactly me. Seems to me that the gaming community in general are d!ck.

If 1080p would have messed up the physics and/or frame rate of the game to the slightest degree then yeah, 900p was the best choice IMO.

Still a bit surprised by it though.

I wouldn't say in general. It's just the majority of the more vocal people. It's really taking a toll on decent/smart gamers and devs who want to have solid discussions and bringing down the gaming community as a whole. Unfortunately the stupidity, superiority, and pettiness will probably never end. People in general are silly.

60 FPS is absolute priority for a responsive Trials game so I agree that 900p would be preferable to 1080p with drops.

I guess it's easy to look at Trials and think that there isn't much to it technically but that isn't the case. There is a lot more going on than just the side scrolling action, the draw distances are large due to the perspective of the camera and as you mentioned the physics calculations are very important.

Red Lynx did some fantastic work on HD and Evolution so I'm looking forward to this one.
 
I can't wait for the next xbox with spencer at the helm. Thing is going to be beast.

You will not have to wait that long. According to MisterXmedia, that super FLOP next gen GPU that does 4k and ray tracing because of DX12, stereo drivers and the local cloud will be unveiled at E3.

DICE, Infinity Ward, Red Lynx, Double Helix, Crytek, Ubisoft, Respawn, Capcom, Fox Team, Popcap and Eidos Montreal are going to be delighted.

I got banned for taking up for religion in an anti-religion thread, and the reason it gave me was: "Thread Whining". Because I was a junior, I was permabanned,

Seriously, that place is garbage. The moderation frequently encourages trolling, and people there are often punished or banned for having an unpopular opinion. It truly is the armpit of all video game discussion.
 
I'm sorry you were temporarily banned for voicing your opinion, but I feel it has little to do with this forum, and I don't care to have cross-forum griping.
