Since very often I am travelling to friends or family and wish to take my Wii U with me to share in some good gaming fun, I am often wondering what would be a good carrying case/bag for this. Now it would be a bit much to just ask this in the general thread, so I decided that maybe it would be a good idea to create a thread regarding this.

In here we can share tips about good non electronic hardware, from Carrying cases until book shelves to store games, for your Wii U, 3DS or Wii console. Classic consoles probably also apply. In general it would be to make our lives a bit easier and to create a central point of discussion for tips and help regarding these matters.

I'll start off with the question: What carrying case or bag would you recommend for a Wii U if it is to be both held in hand/over a shoulder for a longer period of time and be taken with you during aeroplane travels or Car rides to friends and family.

This probably isn't the best advice, but figured I'd share my story. I often had to travel with my 360 going back and forth between college and I always carried it the same way. I had a backpack that I used for school, like a normal two strap backpack. I also had a blanket. I'd set the 360 on the blanket, and then wrap it up so it's just a big square of blanket with the 360 hidden inside. I'd then put that into the backpack, zip it up, and be on my way. Never had any problems.
