Thought this was pretty neat. I wonder if this is what we can expect from the Fortaleza glasses if they ever come to fruition.

don't know how effective it is because it requires the micro projectors, but the form when used for VR is nice and not as bulky as the Oculus.

for AR stuff, the technology for transparent displays needs to be fleshed out. I think that will really help with wearable AR technology. LIke this technology shrunk down

The gaming applications/possibilities are awesome.

Could be cool depending on how it evolves over the years. This video is almost 2 years old though and not much has come of it that I've seen. They talked about using it for military use...which means crazy $$$. True AR experiences are a LONG way off to be done right and affordable. Not only do images need to be projected on a transparent window, the device will also need to recognize and interact with your surroundings. There's a ton of challenges in that space.

I think eventually AR is going to be the way things are done because you could do both AR and VR with those glasses. Our mobile technology needs to evolve for a good long while though to have AR experiences be anything but a gimmick. Until then (probably 15+ years), get yourself a rift!
