Contrast: The Last XBLA Must-Have For This Gen? (also on PSN)

All the reviews says it sucks. Also Max: The Curse of Brotherhood comes out on xbox 360 too.

Reviews have already arrived for the PS4 version. Seems pretty mixed.

IGN and GI gave it 75; Gamespot, 50; Joystiq 60; Gamespot 50.

Here's GI's review, for instance: http://www.gameinformer.com/games/contrast/b/playstation4/archive/2013/11/13/contrast-review.aspx

"Combining unique visuals, a vanguard concept, and atmosphere aplenty, Contrast is full of promise with its 3D platforming shifting to a 2D shadow world. Walking on the shadows projected onto walls as the real world ebbs and flows makes for an appealing premise. Unfortunately, the end product isn’t as appetizing as the pretty picture Contrast paints. Faulty and boring puzzles drag down a promising premise and an intriguing story."

Sounds like it's still worth checking out.

The overt misandry in the trailer makes me want to pass in this game. After the Anita Sarkeesian debacle(she lied about being a gamer), I have to give a no go, do not buy, rating to all games with feminist themes.

I think it's free if you have PS+, if I remember right.

Speaking of which, I'm going to go ahead and move this to the MP section.

As to the OP, though, I would think Walking Dead Season 2 or The Wolf Among Us would be must-haves on XBLA -- at least they are for me. I'd pick them over Contrast.

I'll download the trial as it looks fun despite the mixed reviews.

Not new, but my all time favourite is tomb raider & the guardian of light.
