Control 2

Control 1 was a dumpster fire. Let's hope this one is better.

In a note to investors, the Finland-based developer provided new information on four new titles that it is currently working on.

"Control 2 continues in the proof-of-concept stage. The plans for this sequel are ambitious, and we have seen good progress both in the designs and in the game build," it said of the sequel to the 2019 third-person shooter.

"We will continue at this stage for the next few quarters. We focus on proving the identified key elements before moving to the next stage and scaling up the team."

I’ve never heard of a proof of concept stage for videogames, is it like if the game is possible using the current technology?

Probably using an older finished engine or the new one, just not fully fleshed out, and seeing what works and out what they can do with it or want to do with it. A demo of a demo, even if it’s just animatics and not functional at that time

*edit to add below

In case ya don’t know what animatics are, think of it like storyboards in motion, something similar to noodle, circletoonHD, or odds1out.

Or something similar to previz as fello @badmonk had posted his work
