It's unfortunately going to be a few days for me too, luckily we have a long weekend coming up though.

Aaaand I got to work 15 mins late because I decided to throw this in this morning just to check out the intro before leaving for work. Only played a tiny bit, but the game already is messing with my head...
You walk through the first few halls of the building and somehow wind up back at the area you entered, even though there was no hall heading in that direction when you started!

I thought I was seeing things.

Downloaded and installed (on PC) so hopefully soon I'll be as lost as everyone else.
I wish the game was Play Anywhere, as I would be playing it work today on my PC. It's a slow day.

Looking forward to playing this but thanks to Epic, I'll be waiting a year. No worries plenty of other games to play until then.

That searching momma video. Creepy stuff haha. I just got Telekinesis. I'm really liking Control so far. Clean and pretty game on the X. As expected, it is a mix of Alan Wake and Quantum Break. The story is the good kind of crazy with eeriness all around.

Control has got an X-files meets Men in Black meets Twin Peaks vibe going, which works very well.

I've only had a chance to put a tiny bit of time into it (hope to change that tonight), but I'm already loving it. No one else does the types of stories and atmosphere you get from Remedy.

Usually I look for collectibles after the campaign, but I am trying to get as close to 100% of them during the campaign. It's super fun. Map kinda blows, but it's all good.

Well of course as soon as I post that I figured it out lol. Definitely recommend to pay attention to the signs in the game when the map isn’t being helpful!

Also, does anyone else feel like the furnace is burning their retinas lol? Has to be in strong contention for brightest in game object ever created

Needs HDR.

finding the hotline through the motel was enough for me to lose my s***

Took me about 15 minutes to figure it out.
I just kept hitting the bell on desk and noticed a different door down the hallway would open each time. I was lucky to notice this or i would still be in that damn hallway

Yeah, the hotel is an interesting puzzle ...
but the puzzle changes the next times you go back

I'm a good way in now and it's f***ing Remedy being Remedy and they need to make games faster so they can take my goddamn money more than once every five or so years.

I finally saw that. I thought someone would come up and eventually beat my ass for ringing the bell so much, then realized the lights were moving down the hall, lol

I forgot it was hitting this month. I'm home sick probably through tomorrow. I need some sort of time junction to see how much of my life I'll lose if I pick it up now.

Get well soon!

I'm at the end now, but can't finish tonight, and it's still Remedy being Remedy as only Remedy doez. I am glad I'm playing on pc after that video, though- I was playing 4k high and getting 38fps on average but I reached some points (anchor and the boss that gives you the ability to get to it) and I had to drop the render res to 1440 to get 60fps. Still looks sweet, though. There's no difficulty setting on the game that I can see, either, so anyone playing on base consoles has my sympathy since it gets freaking challenging.

It's pretty much made up for feeling like s*** all week. :yzombie:

Hi everyone. Antonela from 505 Games and Vida from Remedy here. Before we get started, we want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone for an incredible launch week. You’ve filled our social timelines with so much enthusiasm, passion and love for Control. For the team here at 505 Games and Remedy, this support has meant the absolute world and we’re so overwhelmed with the positivity from our players. So again, thank you!

We want to address some of the feedback from our players. Hopefully this blog gives you some answers and reassurance.

Here are some of the things we are addressing. By no means is this a complete list!

PC RTX ISSUES
In most cases RTX issues are solved by making sure you have the latest version of Windows 10 (1903)

MOTION BLUR
Some good news – As part of our next update (tentatively mid to late September) we’ll be providing players with an ON/OFF toggle for Motion Blur and Film Grain. This will come to all platforms.

MAP
We hear you and we’re addressing the issues reported! Our developers are working to improve how the in-game map loads to ensure that all the relevant info displays immediately and correctly, as it should. We’ll provide more info on this very soon.

GENERAL IMPROVEMENTS
Right now, the team are looking at possible ways of improving console optimization in Control, but as you can hopefully understand, these things do take time and don’t happen at the press of a button (as much as we wish they did). We are also examining specific issues that some players have been experiencing and looking for fixes on those. When we have more info, we will be sure to let you know across our community channels.

HDR
Early on in Control’s development, it was decided that HDR would not be implemented in-game. This is a decision based on the fact that development resources are limited, and we need to allocate what we have in a certain way. Moving into post launch, we prefer to use the resources we have to focus on future free content for Control like the Photo Mode. We realize this may disappoint some players, but we hope the additions we plan to bring to Control more than make up for the absence of HDR.

WHAT’S NEXT?
To wrap things up, we want to take this opportunity to make it clear that this is just the beginning. Next week, we hope to provide our players with an update on future content plans something we know many of you are very keen on. Stay tuned for more information on that!

In the meantime, we hope this update reassures our players that we’re working behind the scenes on improving and bringing new content to Control. Just please be patient as the development team at Remedy is doing its best. Thanks once again for your continued show of support.

Speak soon!

This game is super well made, as it looks great and the gunplay and powers feel great to use.

It’s not really sinking it’s hooks in me like I’d hoped though. I’m finding it easy to take a break and play other games

Dang lost again lol, this map is one of the more useless I’ve encountered
