Started playing it but had to turn it off due to my kids being in the room. Will see what it is like on a later play through.
Game Pass is really staring to be a thing for me.

Yeah. My guy is terrible. Never really liked his content.

Yeah he's one of the bottom feeders IMO, always just trying to latch onto the current outrage etc. He's basically a character and not an entertaining one at that.

What issues? Are you speaking about how little the NPC activity is? I havent experienced any bugs thus far.

Oh I’m not talking about the bugs. More so the repetitive missions and I feel like the layout of the city and orbs was better in Crackdown 1.

I am enjoying it because it is a Crackdown game, but I do see where people have issues because it hasn’t evolved much outside of it looking really good.

Again if I’m MS I am locking up Terry Crews and making him the face of the franchise and I’m going with much better dialogue heavy cutscenes in Crackdown 4. You have a guy that is loved by everyone and is funny as hell and you barely used his voice. And when you did the audio is so low you can barely hear it.

Finished it tonight, I'd give it a 6.5-7, it's not bad at all but it's not awesome either. I had a good time with it and I'd recommend giving it a playthrough if you have GP and as I said before I'd even buy it for $40 down the road. I just see it as a missed opportunity because you can see places where they could have done more and pushed this game to be much more than it was.

See that is what I like to hear. It is no Forza level but a good game.

MS should use crackdown 3 as a reboot and goo all out using Terry Crew as the face of this game.

I have the final boss to beat, but I wouldn't pay 40 for it.

Not a bad game but not a great game pretty much sums the game up perfectly.

I would focus less on him to be honest, he just came off as a guy trying to be a character to me, I never picked his avatar for my agent :) I like him, he seems like a good guy in interviews and he has been really funny in some movies but I think they sort of overplayed it a bit with him in the trailers for this game, his "pep talks" after you take over those propaganda towers were a bit silly too but I know this game isn't meant to be taken too seriously. It's cool you like him though, no right or wrong there it's just a personal preference thing.

This should really become a pillar franchise. Technically, because its been so long since the last Crackdown, this is essentially a reboot of the first. There's great foundation here to build on. Xbox could seriously have its own GTA-esque game here if they play this right. Same with Recore. That's a Zelda-esque game they should keep around.

I'm all for buying studios and developers but, I also think Microsoft needs to build off of some of the games that didnt exactly take flight and build them into substantial franchises. Failure is a part of learning - doesn't mean you just pack it up and shelve it. Every invention in the world failed in the beginning, but the creators stuck to them. Sony's kind of good for this too. Not all of their titles were smashing it out of the park the first releas. They stuck with it though. Uncharted come to mind here.

Although, there is a rumor from a solid source, Klob, who said that a "beloved franchise" is getting a sequel and deep into development. I hope its one from this gen.

Fable?

There aren't any beloved franchises from this gen

That ship has sailed....and to make this GTA esque you would have to make drastic changes. Better off creating a new IP.

Fable is likely the best bet considering the rumours about this ffanchise and Playground Games.

Personally, I'd love it to be Project Gotham Racing.

It would be pretty sad for anyone to start a rumor about Fable since we all know its a lock that Playground is making it.

For those of you who've completed the game, how many hours did it take you? I still haven't started it...
Took me about 10 hours, but you could do it a bit quicker. That was playing on one above default difficulty too.

A lock? I haven't seen anything that seems concrete enough to say that. If you have, please link or tell of which article or tweet did so.

I don't know how long I have been playing. I can tell you that I played for an hour today and two hours last night. That is 3 hours. My Xbox app says I have played 2 hours total. And I have been playing the game since it came out Friday. I about half way through based on available bosses listed in the boss screen. I would guess I have 8 hours in. Not sure why Xbox says otherwise. You can look at my achievements and see that it would take more than 2 hours to get 30 achievements I have. I haven't done any of the driving missions. I haven't done any of the roof top running missions.

I haven't even launched Wrecking Zone.

Agree, it's worth a play. It's simplicity is sort of relaxing in a way - a blessing and a curse in this case.

You should show a little bit of optimism now and then.

Note the font change for this part of my response: Recore is not Zelda-esque. If you were aiming for anything, it'd be a lot more Metroid-y, especially given the idea of the 'multicolored' projectiles in comparison to Metroid Prime's weapons.

That's crazy how much better the physics in CD1 are. Also, I have been very sad that I can't kick the cars anymore. Huge oversight.

THat said, the video doesn't really demonstrate how much better this one does look and play, but it's not much of an accomplishment given the generational differences. Someone should send that video to the developer and maybe it will shame them into patching in so improvements.

There's supposed to be a dev video about the updates today, isnt there? Hoping to hear there's more content coming for CD3 and other stuff -- like the radio stations. That's one of my main complaints.
