You should show a little bit of optimism now and then.

Note the font change for this part of my response: Recore is not Zelda-esque. If you were aiming for anything, it'd be a lot more Metroid-y, especially given the idea of the 'multicolored' projectiles in comparison to Metroid Prime's weapons.
You're right; Recore felt very Zelda/Metroid-ish to me while playing. That game has a lot of potential for a franchise. Same with QB, and Ryse

The more I see of the MP mode the less I think that the "cloud" is going to be able to do much to benefit gaming anytime soon in any real way. That destruction seems to be very slow, nothing has weight and this was something that supposedly required the computational equivalent of 12 Xbox One consoles. I can't see how this is going to get much better in the near future when they spent all that time and money working on this. I also don't believe that tech demo the original MP developer showed off was actually representative of what could be done in real time or MS would have found a way to get it done, it's not like they wouldn't have had some type of knowledge of what was being done to produce a game they were publishing that was going to rely on their servers. I know some are saying that cloudgine tech isn't in the game anymore but that doesn't seem to be the case according to an MS spokesperson when the news that Epic bought the company broke.

“We are pleased that the gaming experience with cloud computing will improve, becoming part of the Unreal Engine 4, – he wrote. – In addition, we express our sincere gratitude for the work of both studios, done in partnership with Microsoft Studios, to create cloud technology in Crackdown 3 from scratch. The development of Crackdown 3 continues, and the news about the purchase of Cloudgine does not affect it in any way. We look forward to when we share the news about the game, and the moment when the action will fall into the hands of the fans “.

Maybe in several years things will change but if this was the best a company like MS could do in 5 years with all of their resources I don't know why anyone would expect this become something that revolutionizes gaming in any way at all. If you are someone who's having fun with the current MP mode that's totally cool, I'm not saying it can't be fun but it's clearly nothing like what was shown off years ago, not even close.

Dev Update 2!
Jennifer Godwinon 02/19/2019
Greetings Agents,
We’re here with another update! There’s a lot more detail in the video below, but here are the highlights:
  • We’ve heard your feedback and are working to get the high priority issues—Wrecking Zone Party support, Campaign saved games, and unlocked framerate for Co-op — addressed as soon as possible.
  • We’ve also got a bit of a surprise to tide you over until all of these fixes can be implemented… A new Bonus Content Pack, available now, for free, for all players!
  • This pack includes the “Quackhammer” weapon, Commander Jaxon’s Ultimate Suit, and the “Linebacker” vehicle. See below the video for details on where to find these in game.

After installing the bonus DLC, you’ll have to do a few things to equip these new Agency goodies:
  • To look Boom-tastic in Commander Jaxon’s Ultimate Suit:Create a new Agent or head to a Supply Point with an existing Agent, choose Agent Jaxon on the Agent selection screen, and then use the toggle to switch between regular and Commander Jaxon.
  • To drive in style with the Linebacker vehicle: Get to a Supply Point with a vehicle pad and select the Linebacker from your available inventory.
  • To equip the Quackhammer:Access any Supply Point, open the Loadout screen, scroll to the very bottom of the left hand column and select the Quackhammer.
Enjoy these new Tools of Justice Agents, keep the feedback coming, and we’ll be back with another update early next week!
Thanks again,
The Crackdown 3 Development Team

2-3 weeks to be able to party with your friends in MP?!?!?!?! That's beyond a joke. It's still mind boggling that this was released without the ability to play with your friends, absolutely mind boggling

Too many games are releasing before they are ready these days, State of Decay 2 and Sea of Thieves along with CD3's MP released before they were ready but it's also becoming a big problem with 3rd party games as well. This kind of thing needs to stop but sadly it's becoming more and more common.

don't like it don't buy it, that is what the genius gamers keep telling me. It's gamers fault these things happen, they are way too agressive in pro business support and way too passive with pro consumer outcry.

So, it will only get worse.

There is no way that took 12 xboxes to process... I actually feel like the need to sync destruction limited the destruction (see red faction)...

What was wrong with state of decay 2?

I dont know. When you experience the destruction in game, and realize that everyone who's playing sees and experiences the same destruction you do, it's pretty impressive. And the chaos isnt pre-baked into the game as with other games involving destruction. When debris falls apart from a blast and you watch the building fall into a pile of debris, that's an incredible feeling. It's formidable and totally sells the feeling of being surrounded by large chunks of chaos in real time.

The only point where it may come off as underwhelming is because the debris doesnt do a whole lot of damage to you when it hits you unless you're pretty close to dead to begin with. Otherwise, I can see and feel the difference with Cloud destruction moreso than any other game that's tried to do it before.

It just seems to me like something that wasn't needed, people keep talking about "everyone see's the same thing" they would with baked destruction as well and at the end of the day the user doesn't know if it's baked or real time while playing.

So... fact; put mario instead of agent and this is basically mario odyssey with more fun gameplay.
Mario getting 10s is lol.
This is basically as good as mario odyssey.

I've heard a lot of people say they thought Mario Odyssey sucked lol. I do think Nintendo gets a pass for a lot of things nobody else would but that's not because people have it in for other companies they just have a soft spot in their hearts for Nintendo, the grew up playing their games and every time they see Mario or Link it takes them back to their childhood. I've heard plenty of people say the latest Zelda sucked too yet it was reviewed like it was amazing. The people who said it sucked gave specific examples as to why too they weren't just making a blanket statement.

??? What game was this again? If your talking about Crackdown I had no issues at all. Everything ran smooth.

No he had asked about what was wrong with state of decay 2, CD3 hasn't had any real bugs for me except I fell through the ground once and some audio hitches here and there.

It's amazing that they could release a game two years too late *AND* three weeks too early.

I strongly believe nintendo has the most overrated games in history, even the games today considered "bad" was getting 10s at release.
I do love zelda though, it's a flawed game no doubt (poor side mission structure, cooking is lol, no variation in music, bad voice acting, weapon system is questionable etc.) put it's a gem imo.

It would be more impactful in the way they initially sold it. Ramps and dynamic cover. It's just really needs to be designed around, and this doesn't do it that well. They should have designed the play around it and not as as passive, meaningless that it is. It is extremely disappointing in wasted opportunity to do something new.

Sadly they couldn't have done it that way or they would have, it's hard to believe it took 5 years to come up with what this final product, especially when cloud was something they pushed so much early on. I am kind of with the Eurogamer guys and think maybe they just talked it up because so many other people were talking about the power difference between the X1 and the PS4.

I can't beat the game. I have beat the final boss 4 times, each time it looks like it is going to a cutscene but then puts me back at the check point before the encounter.

I'm not sure how true that is. If the other company took most of its tech when they left, MS would then have to reengineer the tech, and the final dev was obviously not at the same level.

According to MS that dev leaving didn't do anything, the tech used was made for the game so the narrative going around that they had to start over is false.

Damn that has to be frustrating as hell!

Not really. In the end it is only a couple of acheivments not earnd.

If it happened in something heavily story based, like Hellblade, then it would have been.
