Crapgamer seems negative about Xbox lately

I actually read the thread but I still think we should just point out the title is flawed. It should read:
Xbox gamer seems negative about crap lately.

Sounds like the majority here, saying dumb s*** like exclusives don't matter, but then act like MS buying a handful of AA studios is the second coming of christ.

Exclusive matter. The studios they bought or are building aren’t a handful. They have quality top industry experience and more than enough big teams going into next gen.

Exclusives aren’t the only thing that matters. If that was the case, Xbox would’ve started stronger this gen.

I also think your downplaying of their studios is a bit disingenuous. A longer explanation of the accomplishments and potential of what they’ve added is probably worthwhile in the other studio thread. Watch the Cory Barlog video about the God of War development. The California studios staff up at full production. It’s a heavy contractor market. Size of the studios today isn’t a limitation. God of Wars development spent a long time with a small team. The Canadian and European studios are different. That’s why they’ve grown with so quickly. Rare, Ninja Theory and Playground have doubled in size since 2017.

I was with you with the 2017 rant of if Microsoft isn’t going to compete as a platform, get out of the console business completely. Now you’re just holding a grudge for the past.

Exclusives do matter, but in the long run nobody is going to care about the year and a half before next gen. 2020 matters.

Exclusive will matter even more in the next phase of gaming. We’re entering the content wars. The definition of exclusives is changing though. Based on the traditional definition Xbox hasn’t had an exclusive since 2015 and won’t ever have one again. Exclusives will be like Netflix originals. If people like Crapgamer are going to cry because games will be on other pieces of hardware, then they’ll have reasons to continue to cry. The content Nadella and Amy Hood have signed off on are to benefit the entire ecosystem. Console is now just one way to access the ecosystem.
