What are your thoughts on cross-gen games? I haven't purchased a new console and we all know a lot of titles are getting that cross-gen or HD treatment so what do you usually purchase?

I still have some titles I would like to buy such as:

Diablo 3
Tomb Raider
Last of Us
Shadow of Mordor
Etc.

I may wait or I may pick up on 360/PS3.

If you only have last-gen consoles and aren't planning on getting a new console for a while, I think it's definitely worth it to get last-gen games. Me however, I'm done with last gen.

If you are fine with the visuals why not? Not to mention next gen version of cross gen games, do not look that much more stunning visually compare to previous gen, in general.

Yeah, I've just recently jumped to next gen, but I'm super interested to see what the last gen versions look like on some of the upcoming games. The difference in Destiny was pretty small, but the difference for Battlefield 4 was huge.

Yeah, I won't double dip. I'll do one or the other. So the jump isn't that great in most games.

My thoughts are last gen was awesome but needs to bow out right about now. I'd just get a PS4 if i was you since it's the better multiplat console.

Just get the current gen games you havn't played on PS3/360 wich you can't get on next-gen platforms - i.e. stuff like Yakuza 3+4 - and while you do play games like that - look out for a great deal on next-gen platforms on various stores - and prepare to jump into next gen as soon as possible if you come across a great deal - and get the cross-gen games you havn't allready, for the newer platforms. :-/
The older platforms will get less and less support in the future, as more and more game-companies completes the transition over to the new systems.

This especially. The cool part is when you do get a new machine, the prices should be lower on these cross gen games. I know I wish I hadn't already played through GTA 5.
Forza horizon 2 looks to be substantially better than the last gen version. Tombraider was a big difference, too.

Only if there's a big enough difference beyond graphics for me. I think I'll get GTA5 again, if only to blow up some orcas. (And heists. I'm convinced, whenever they are finally added, it'll be worth looking into again. maybe not worth a year of waiting, but I like the game enough to want to try.)

I think in GTA's case, it WILL make a big difference, as that game's impressiveness is all about the small details.
