Just push it to 2021... I honestly don't care at this point, but imo it's not really a great strategy to announce a date at all if they're as unsure of their work being finished. I mean, once i isn't uncommon... But what is this, third time?

  • Mainly uses a particular quest as a vehicle to explore how good melee combat is, along with how CDPR has refined elements of the RPG format
Main Take-aways:

  • There's atleast one sword that pays homage to the Witcher
  • Melee (specifically katana-based) combat is not only viable, but can be a very satisfying way to approach combat
  • Emphasis placed on the choice available to you as a player -> Discusses an infiltration mission that seemed to present a litany of different ways to approach.
  • Discusses how life path choice provide dialogue options in contextually relevant locations/situations
  • Thinks the Badlands provide a nice change of pace
  • Criticisms: Wasn't a fan of some on-rails shooting sections. The map can feel overwhelming, given the number of indicators. Stresses that they feel that these feel somewhat minor 16 hours in.

  • Dialogues are enjoyable. There are a lot of colorful characters with whom it is just interesting to have a conversation.
  • The game is based on simple and clear RPG mechanics. If you have played other action RPGs, you are unlikely to have any problems with leveling, inventory, and characteristics.
  • Shooting mechanics are not inferior to many shooters in terms of quality of implementation.
  • The game still needs polishing. There are some bugs, but they're not critical.
  • Cyberpunk 2077 has a lot of content, and the storyline is really long. These 16 hours are feeling like it's just the beginning.

I think a lot of people will be disappointed with the game, not because it isn't a nice game, but people expecting something that the game isn't.

I agree. I think people who haven't been following the game are going to think its a GTA/Skyrim style game wrapped in a cyberpunk asthetic. Hell even some people on other fourms think they're going to get a blade runner/Judge Dredd type atmospheric game when it absolutely not going to be.

I’m not going in with any expectations but I’m happy to hear it’s more RPG than shooter. I do trust CDPR to produce a very good game though. I just desperately want to hold out for Ray Tracing on the next gen update but I’m sceptical I’ll be able to. There’s also the worry of seeing spoilers on YouTube thumbnails so I’ll probably end up playing day one. Hopefully there’s enough reason to play through multiple times with the different paths you can take.
I’m also looking forward to seeing what they envisage for the MP when they get round to releasing it.

Updated PC system requirements. I exceed everything for RT Ultra at 4K except for having a RTX 3080. :confused: My 2080ti is going to have to suffice until I can find one.

I barely made it for Min. I have a 970 GTX with 4 GB (just realised I have 4GB not 3GB) I do have 16 GB ram so maybe I can push some setting to med.

Make me wonder how the vanilla Xbox will fare. I do not think we ever since footage of Xbox one S or even vanilla PS4.

Same card. Decided to go Series X this year and play it on that.
