Another little gripe about the story. Not a big deal, just something that came off cliche to me. I'm probably a third or maybe halfway through the main story (hard to know), so it'll be a spoiler for those of you who are still early in the game.
I'm talking about the scene where one-handed Boozer beats Deacon's ass, in order to get him to open up about something he doesn't want to talk about. Deacon had gotten his hopes up that Sarah might be alive, but he found out from O'Brien that she is is likely dead. So instead of just accepting that maybe this isn't the time to press him, Boozer (according to the rules of this sort of scene) has to beat the crap out of him, in order to get him to be vulnerable enough to say what happened. Then Deacon chuckles and they're best buds. It seemed cliche, like something I'd seen dozens of times on TV or in movies. I did get a little verklempt, which is probably why writers keep doing this (predictable payoff), but it felt cheap/sentimental, rather than genuine, because I was aware of how cliche it was.
Anyhow, not a big deal, but if you're lactose intolerant, just know that the story does contain some cheese.
Are you using a remote explosive there?
I still haven't taken on my first horde.
It's a bomb that makes noise to attract them and then goes off after a few seconds, generally speaking that strategy hasn't worked for any horde but that one, usually after the first bomb like that they see me and come after me, good news is if you get far enough ahead some of the horde will give up and head back to their resting spot.
