So I only have the 5-3 boss and 1-4 boss left then I should be done the game. Finished 1-3, 2-3, 3-3 and 4-3 bosses today. So 5-3 and 1-4 should be the last ones left, yeah?
I've been farming in 4-1 and now all of the sudden there is an extra knight there that's glowing red and is way harder to kill, I still haven't passed 4-1 yet that jerk with the huge tongue keeps killing me lol but I don't know why that extra enemy is there all of the sudden.
Sounds like an NPC invader. If that's the case you'll need either run around it or kill it. They are once off invaders so if you kill it once it stays gone. Plus the normally drop unique items.
Hmm, I've killed him more than once and he's there every time I go back, he's also only dropped those partial soul things that the other ones already drop so I don't know what's going on. Thanks for the response though.
Edit: I gave the wrong name of the enemy, it's a silver skeleton that's glowing red not a knight.

I finished it the other day, there was practically no ending and it just went to start a new game plus, I know there are varying endings but I'm not playing through it again if the enemies do twice as much damage now, it just won't be fun. A lot of things to like about the game once you get the hang of it and a lot of things that could be done better.
Hot damn does this look good! I love how all the dark areas look with candles in HDR.
Between the improved frame rates, improved input lag, and my basic knowlege of how these games should be played now, I'm dying waaaaaaaaay less than I did in the PS3 days. Having a fun time remembering where enemies and secrets are as I play so far.

I had to restart my character last night. Some high level douchebag invaded my game right after I beat the first boss, used some weird poison attack on me that completely broke all of my equipped gear. Would have cost like 15K souls or more to fix, was easier to just replay the entire first area with a new character. I switched over to a Temple Knight, which I'm enjoying. I've got the winged spear equipped and leveled up a few notches now. I'm terrified to play in "body" form again incase some a**hole invades my game like a douche.
Does the mines have spiders? I didn't play much of the original because of how terrible it ran, but I'm pretty sure I did mines fairly early.
When I played, I just did it like 1-1, 2-1, 3-1, 4-1, 5-1,then 1-2, 2-2 etc. Not sure if that's how you should do it.
My little time with the original I had two invaders. One I almost killed and the second came in and helped me get to the first boss and left me a bunch of stuff.
You can now do co-op against bosses. People left summoning marks just before the boss area and you can summon them to do a 2v1 type of thing. Helped me out a lot during my run through.
I'm having a great time replaying this, I'm already nearing where I was originally. My shield & spear temple knight build is starting to get nice and tank-y. Really enjoying seeing what they've done with the graphics in some of the levels I still remember fondly, it's fantastic to be able to see far into the distance in a level and actual be able to recognize what you're looking at now.
Soooo much easier to grind for materials & souls in the remastered version due to the super quick loading.
I've been playing on performance mode this whole time, switched over to fidelity mode and it's absolutely ridiculous. Even though I like the 60fps, I'm not sure if I can go back. These graphics are outstanding in fidelity mode. The guy who said this looks last gen officially has eye problems.

Now I'm constantly going back and forth in between modes depending on the situation. Luckily the game lets you switch at any time without penalties or reloading. Already beat some bosses I never beat on the PS3. Loving this remaster / remake. Gorgeous game, great launch title.
Both of these net gen consoles are freaking awesome. Loving the PS5 and XSX, really glad I finally have both!
Absolutely loving this. Too the point where I’m running two active characters. One royalty based sword and magic build and the other I’m going for the gloom temple knight build. Have them both around SL30 and I’m loving the difference in the approach to combat using each.
