Lightfall expansion any good?

Not great, no. It added the new strand subclass which is the best selling point. The campaign was not very good.

Neomuna is ok as a player space, but they made everything super difficult, but with zero additional rewards. Nobody goes there. It isn't that a challenge is bad, but there's nothing to do there to reward that challenge. It is like nearly endgame difficulty with no endgame rewards. It is bizarre that they never fixed it.

If you find it cheap and plan on staying with the game for a bit, strand is kind of a big deal. Generally the best subclass for any character now. I think you have to own Lightfall to use strand, which kind of sucks. I think you have to buy it and finish the campaign.

Overall, definitely one of the lesser DLCs. Witch Queen was way better, and I actually preferred Shadowkeep.

It is free with PS+.

I assume Forsaken and the Moon expansions are part of the free base game now? I have Witch Queen and Lightfall drops Tuesday. Anything missing?

I didn't care for shadow keep it gave year 1 D2 like lazy vibes.

Lightfall is ok and at least offers a new area, its more challenging, new enemies and a new subclass.

I find it underrated and witch queen overrated. But both just ok.

Taken King and Forsaken are much better.

Destiny 1 as a whole is just so much better as a cohesive experience. So many good times were had between 2014-2016.

Destiny has been a wild ride over 10 years. Lots of ups and downs, but a lot of fun over the years.

The new Onslaught mode is really fun, and farming the "new" (recycled) brave weapons is fun.

Played a few hours last night. Enjoyed it. But felt a bit lost.

Game looks pretty great. I forgot it looked so good.

Any weapon recommendations I should grind for?

Finish the Lightfall campaign so you can get your strand subclass is probably #1 if you haven't already.

There's a new hoard mode called Onslaught with a bunch of re-issued weapons that are good (and the mode is lots of fun). I don't know what the min level to get in is, but I think the main difficulty scales.

I have to wait until Tuesday for Lightfall (that is when it hits PS+essential) but I will do that ASAP.

Where do I find Onslaught?

There's a new area in the map (or you might need a quest to open it up), where theres a (new copy) of Shaxx that gives out bounties for things like (new) Mountaintop, Blast Furnace, etc. It is a long room with a bunch of chests, and Shaxx at the end. The new free update is "Into the Light".

The game is totally confusing if you fall behind though, it is one of the huge complaints. Even I have 4+ pages or quests and random things.

Ok. I'll try and find that.
