I'm done with this game. 100 deaths and I can't get past the final mission. There's zero checkpoints even on normal difficulty. If you haven't bought this yet, don't. It is nonsense infinitely spawning enemies.
Moments like this make me miss Destiny raids.

Sorry to hear that, I didn't think the last mission was that hard at least when compared to Lightfall's final mission, I think Bungie definitely took some feedback on that. Did you try using Red Death? It will keep you alive.
Most people seemed to love it, so I'm in the minority. I just felt the story was kind of lame and the "difficulty" annoyed me. The lack of checkpoints is what got me. I'm sure I could do it on regular, but the almost roguelike lack of checkpoints really bugged me.
I liked the actual combat, but the puzzles (usually while being constantly blinded/flashed) gets old.

Honestly I didn't think the story was that great, slightly better than Lightfall. I don't think Bungie will ever top The Taken King imo.
5 minute video on the future of Destiny. Basically episodes instead of seasons which seem ok, but basically just longer seasons. 2025 will have a thing called "Frontiers" that they did not talk about one bit.

Really makes you wonder how long they will keep updating the game, I hope they move on from D2 after 2025.

I pay the $100 option is what I meant.
It's enough content to not need to buy any other games if I chose not to.
You can always add the extra edition later so you don't have to decide. If you pay $50 for Final Shape and want the annual pass later, you can just add another $50.
The annual pass is mostly for anyone sticking around for a year of content after the DLC.
