Awesome thanks! I did notice that playing some Crucible last night I got a lot of gear within the two matches I played. I wanna keep on with the campaigns, (probably 3/4 the way through The Red War), but what do you really recommend to get boosted quick?

BTW I love the public events and side missions that are just randomly thrown out there. Makes the game feel so much bigger.

Strikes. Interms of PvE content I found them to offer most loot. Make sure you do the bounties from Zavala aswell.

If you go to IO there should be a heroic adventure, I would do these as they seem to be the best place to get exotics outside of end game content.

I think they could do a bit better of a job on new people. I understand what they were going with on New Light but they should have left the game with the original intro straight into Red War, at least if it's a brand new account.

Solstice of Heroes is so bad. Terrible Majestic requirements.

This is the time of year I take a break. None of the stuff this time of year is worth it. You'll grind for armor and they'll make it useless come the fall DLC.

When I saw they recycled the same event from last time I didn't even bother. This is where they get really grindy for no real reward or point.

Got a refund for the delayed dlc.
Likely to get it for Xbox since I like the controller more and MS got the marketing rights.
I do the PC version as well but the cheating is getting out of hand.

My plan is to keep doing PVE on PC, but PVP on Xbox since I'll get it through Gamepass (enough for PVP).

What's funny is I would be all PC at this point for all my gaming if not for the cheating all over the place. I rarely play any kind of multiplayer on PC if I can avoid it. They came out with that fun little Fall Guys game for $20 and PC is already riddled with cheaters.

Fall guys is free on plus this month

Don't mind grinding. But 7 wins in Trials can go f*** itself to death. And they included Shadowkeep activities.

I saw that. You couldn't pay me to go play in Trials. Quickplay is a total sweat fest and Iron Banner isn't even fun anymore with the constant mercy rules.

They've struggled with Trials since they launched it. The activity is for the top tier PVPers, but they seem to want to try and force people into it.

PVP is one thing D2 has never gotten close to getting right. They do anything to try and push players into it, but most people just get stomped and quit.

Grindy grindy grindy. Got the Witherhourd unlocked. Pretty nice. One of the more unique exotics. But, why o why does the catalyst require 100 crucible kills with a nade launcher.

Is the catalyst worth getting? Or is it another garrbage one that gives +20 stabily, etc.

Everything you get will help you get to 1000, so just do what is fun. Campaign and patrol spaces are fine. You might be able to boost a little faster jumping into public events with higher level players. Once you hit 1000, blue drops will stop helping, so then you need to follow the formula more. All you need to do is damage something in an event to get a completion if people around you do it.

Don't bother to infuse anything at lower levels, it costs too much and you don't need to. Your actual equipped power level doesn't matter all that much. If you get a higher level drop and don't want to use it, just keep it in your inventory. Drops will go by your max possible power level anyway.

Keep anything purple/legendary you get for now, you can ditch anything blue or green once you get something higher level.

As you get higher, you'll see more and more quests in your inventory (probably a ton). You can look those up on youtube and see what they give you vs how easy they are to do.

The game is huge, but you can't do too much harm at lower levels so just have fun. My big problem with the game early on is it isn't obvious what is an easy, solo activity or not.

Good advice, this game is hard for newbies but I found it super fun. I played very casually back in November/December and had a blast, but stopped because I had nobody to play with. I’d like to start up again sometime and find some friends. It took a ton of research for me to understand what the hell to do but long story short I just ended up doing whatever. Seems like the soft gear cap is part of the game and pretty easy to get to, but after that you are forced into certain other activities to grind towards the true power cap and it narrows immensely. Think that’s where I stopped.

Yep, the game is fun, but there's really very little endgame. Actually what they did instead of an endgame is just constantly raise the power cap so you are just constantly chasing.

Only real endgame is the dungeons and the grandmaster nightfall (which is supposedly crazy hard). Hopefully the fall DLC will have a raid in it too (I think it will).

I play the game as a loot chaser. I chase loot until I get bored, then I go play other games.

It will have a new raid and sometime later in Y4 they are bringing back the Vault of Glass from D1.

The Travelers Chosen exotic sidearm quest is up. Seems pretty simple, but I don't know how long it is. Basically do a lost sector, do a strike, do an adventure, go to next planet and repeat (not sure how many it does). Youtubers had it done right away so it must not be too long.

Have it. It is not too bad. A x5 stack of light gave 3 quarters of my grenade back. Not too shabby and light stacks go to x10.

Got to go to IO, Titan, Mercuary Mars. Do 4 strikes, 5 EP bosses, several Heroic Adventures, and a few generic tasks. Takes like 60 to 90 mins tops.

Beyond Light is really starting to sound not to great.

We are going from 3 core playlist armour sets to just one. Going from 3 pinnacle weapons to 1 pursuit weapon, which is a reskin of a sunsetted weapon. Only 1 new strike. Gambit just seems like a worse mode.

This is supposed tobe a big expansion, but it really isn't sounding like it.

Haven't played since early August maybe? Been thinking about hopping back in and finally playing through the big DLC before the new one. Not sure what happens with stuff being vaulted.

Things have been pretty quiet, as things tend to slow down in the season before a big DLC, and now even more with the new DLC delayed until November.

Only semi-big thing is the Travelers Chosen exotic quest. It is probably worth playing through, the gun seems pretty good. Easy to get, just a little time consuming depending on how many of the early steps you had done.

Basically, Mercury, Titan, Mars and IO are gone, including anything from them. The exotic quest is nice because it runs you though a lot of that old content (strikes, adventures) before it goes. It also probably won't be really "gone" as they could bring it back at some point in the future.

The important thing is to remember that there's sun-setting coming up, so anything that is capped at 1060 isn't worth much going forward.

I've mostly been taking a big break the past couple months other than the exotic quest, not really a lot going on, and certainly nothing important. Just that super grindy moments of triumph stuff that I never bother with.

Mars, IO, Titan, and Mercuary will be completed removed. As will all the the content from them such as PvP maps, Gambit maps, Raids, exotic quests, strikes. The weapons and armour you aleready earned you still keep, but will be pretty useless except in the Crucible due to power being capped at the current 1060 level.

Essentially they are removing half the game so they can drip feed it back to you at a later date.
