Started playing this game again this past weekend. Finally going to play through Forsaken and Shadowkeep. Not sure what else I've really missed on this season of stuff. Think I'm level 20 for whatever the machine is for engrams. Also remember a quest on Titan to prepare for evacuation and picked up another one now that had me go to Io. Looks like maybe an exotic gun from a previous post.

So I'm playing through Forsaken right now on PC... and I swear I've played these missions to kill the barons before? Were any of these part of a strike or side mission for an event or something? Did I completely lose my mind and forget I played this on Xbox? All I ever remember doing on Xbox was one mission with friends, then realizing I had missed the intro so I thought I stopped playing. But these baron missions are so damn familiar.

Yeah a few of the strikes are basically copies of the single player missions. There's definitely some cool lore in Destiny, but Bungie doesn't tell the story like you would get with the Halo games.

So this whole time I thought both Forsaken and Shadowkeep were going into the vault, but they aren't. I had bum rushed Forsaken so I could get Shadowkeep done as well but no worries on it now. That will give me time to work on some of the other quests and what not that are being vaulted.

Also gave Gambit on PC a try for the first time. Had tried it on Xbox and didn't really enjoy it. PC was so much better as my aim is better as well. Only played one game but we demolished them. Also give me a Gambit where there are no heavies or supers on invaders. Kill me with regular guns you cowards.

I think changing out the weapons would put a serious disadvantage on the invaders. It's not like they just magically appear and kill you, the game makes it very known when one comes through the portal.

Also, Gambit is one of the better multiplayer modes of any game I've ever played. Very unique combination of PVP and PVE that really works well.

The Pvp on console is way too slow for me. I much prefer the PC. Maybe that will change with the new consoles.

f*** pvp and the PC.
Only reason I did Gambit was for a quest this season. Looks like I only have to complete two matches to finish it so not sure I'll bother beyond that. I have a couple exotics that require something like hand cannon kills in Gambit and I'm not sure I'll waste the time, especially since it has to be done by the 9th.

I just saved my super for the primeval which might be why we had that beat before they had it down like 1/4. Don't think I ever picked up any heavy either as it seemed to just take forever to spawn and then by the time it probably did it was a s*** show.

FYI I do have all the current DLC on PC and PS.
Those high fps are hard to ignore.
I just don't do mp on PC anymore.

I was going to get it on XSX at launch and PS5 after but now I got to do it in reverse until I have enough Xbox Destiny friends.
PC will be kicked to the curb this time around.

After switching to PC, playing on 30 fps console is just a huge downgrade for me. I might be interested in console once the next gen ones are 60fps though.

People still playing this?
RIP Bungie, went from feeling like a slave under MS to becoming it for real under activision and then trying to make it in their own while slowly fading away.

So trying to work on all of the season specific things. Doing the Savathun Eyes triumph to shoot the little balls with the new void trace rifle. Seems like 5 are locked in a dungeon and another mission called the Wihisper? I've done neither of those yet and the Whisper seems to be quite involved so not sure it's even worth the effort at this point. Bummer I wasted the time finding all the eyes on Mars but at least I looked into these two portions before doing the other locations.

Yeah this is the #1 problem with the game, there's no real explanation of quests or how long or involved they are. Some are long but very simple (like the Travelers Chosen one), others are long and you need a fireteam at the end to get through them.

Whisper is a tough one to solo. It can be done, but I don't even have it. The thing is, they likely will dump those old quest exotics into the general pool at some point.

Best thing to do is google a quest and see how involved it is.

Bungie is making more money and getting more attention with Destiny than they ever did with MS/Halo.

Plus nobody made Halo better than Bungie with the series becoming a after thought since they left.

Factually wrong, yes.
The Destiny franchise is huge much bigger than Halo on Xbox alone and even bigger when we consider it's on the more popular platforms PS/PC.

Nobody has talked about Halo in a positive light since Halo Reach and at that time the series was already on the decline thanks to games like COD.

Destiny has millions playing daily.

I don't think Halo in its prime had a million playing online.
