I mean, it's a Sony exclusive. Who else would have been to blame?

Marketing yes, but sucks for content that one must wait a year only to have send content get nerfed once all new content is released.

But whatevs, I’ve never played a call of duty on console or destiny...

Most of the blame still goes to publishers who make these kinds of deals. Sony has no reason to look out for Xbox or PC owners. Activision (at the time) does.

What cheeses me off is if this were MS, the drama level would be cranked up to 11/10 and it would dominate gaming news.

Since it is Sony, it is just like, "Meh, what are you going to do"

Outside of the Destiny community who's directly impacted by this, there's almost nothing.

I thought the pc community would be more out spoken of/against Sony’s practices.

To be honest, I have not seen this story other than here and on the Destiny reddit. Heck it even fell off the Destiny reddit pretty quickly (and it isn't like there's much else going on in the game right now).

This double standard is what bugs me. If it were EA or Xbox it would be an internet sh**storm of articles.

Well, looks like PCgamer just picked up the story (of course it is buried way down).

I started playing this not too long ago on and off. Fun game overall. Kind of just scratching the surface of everything, but it keeps bringing me back in.

Is there anything worth getting back into for the new season as someone who doesn't raid?

I just got so burnt out on this game. The grind just turned into ugh. This seems to be a game where unless you are going to go full out into you may as well not bother. I log in once a week do to the flashpoint and get two quick powerful items to help me level up and that's it.

Not sure, I stopped playing a while back but kind of have the urge to get back into it, especially if I can transfer my characters to PC

I am so lost in the game now. I am like level 370. I know I have the Forsaken expansion, which includes Warmind. I don't know if I have finished the campaign or not? I can't find any more missions. The only thing left in the flyout menu from the top left is something where I have to find a guy named spider and do some bounties, and the other is for the newly released update, which I haven't paid for I don't think. I think on the map it's inside the "season 7" icon in the upper right corner.

There's usually a character somewhere you have to talk to to progress. Probably talking to Spider will do it. Usually talking to the newest vendor for an expansion opens everything up, but check around all over the map. Destiny 2 loves the "go talk to X over here, then go to this other planet and talk to someone else" to unlock things. If you check the map, there's usually a little star anytime there's something of interest (of course not all of them are campaign related). It isn't always super clear where to go next.

Thanks. Where the hell is spider?

Looks like we're going F2P as well. Base game + first two expansions.

Might actually try it when it goes F2P, I've never played Destiny before

There is so much to do in this game it has become a monster. Raid, crucible, strikes, mission, gambit, new menagerie, weapon quests. I like the monthly iron banner and weekly dreaming city well and ascendant challenge...

It is not a full free to play. There will be premium content that will need to be purchased.
