There's no way to do regular strikes alone, that's something people ask for all the time. Blackout just makes things worse, as with no radar, people have zero awareness where people are.

I like the old armor and abilities more...not sure what's good about the new stats.

Yeah early on, the old armor stuff is better, but the newer Armor 2.0 stuff can upgrade and will eventually be better.

The stuff that drops from regular activities is pretty low stats too. It is assumed that better stat gear will drop from harder activities.

Finally got a bow from a drop. Can't think of the name but it's void based and kicks total ass. Stayed up way too late last night working on a bow frame from black armory, which I thought I could use to guarantee a bow, but as part of the quest steps I needed bow kills. :meh: Anyways the armory stuff is pretty cool as well. Just have the initial one in Gofannon although while just roaming around in public at the EDZ I found the one in Niobe labs lol.

Subtle Calamity?

I got a Subtle Calamity with Dragonfly and Explosive Head. I just shoot it into a group of enemies and watch the explosions. :)

I also got an auto rifle from the season stuff (hit level 30ish) called the Pluperfect. My roll was rangefinder + kill clip. Needless to say it is good in PVE. I run Vex Invasions with that and either the Arc Logic energy auto or a submachine gun.

I feel like I'm hitting a wall a little bit on the grind. Think I've played too much since Shadowkeep came out. I'm like 926 and I feel like I've done everything. There's harder difficulty for things of course, but I don't know if I'll hit 100 on my season.

So Titans with Peregrine Greaves and One Two Punch shotguns are killing bosses with one flying knee.

Completed the Iron Banner quest last night. Wish the armor could be used as transmog.

I've still got to try Iron Banner this week. I'm hearing they are doing a much better job with the matchmaking, making sure big teams match up against other teams, and solo players stay with smaller groups and other solo. I get so sick of getting rolled by teams of 6 who all have their own dedicated Youtube channel when I play solo.

I'm still deciding whether I should play PVP on PC or PS4. I do fine in PVE with a mouse, but I feel so slow in PVP.

I haven't had a problem on PC playing solo. Lots of new players I think

Festival of the Lost event is actually bigger than I was expecting. The Altar of Sorrow is like Escalation Protocol, and I love Escalation Protocol.

Havent run the new dungeon, but I bet its hard.

The Mercury strike was always fun, so hopefully the 6 man activity is good.

I did manage to get 100 levels on my season pass but not sure if I'll do that again. It isn't hard by any means, but takes a lot of time (and bounties).

Some interesting news for the next season.

The powerful cap is going up 10 points to 960 and the pinnacle to 970. So not much grind if you were already close to 950. I'm glad with this, as the power chase seems mostly pointless. At this point, I just want to be in endgame.

Escalation Protocol no longer needs a key to open the final chest. Now, you complete the activity, you get the chest. Makes farming a lot easier.

They are adding repeatable gunsmith bounties, which is nice for that season pass grind. Can run those really quickly and combine them with other bounties.

Some other stuff as well. Should be a fairly light season, so a good time to catch up or maybe play other games :)

It's free to play on PC. Never noticed that. Downloading it to see if I can stick with it for five hours.

One thing to watch for in the new season is Osiris gives out quests but it is kind of bugged. Every time you finish talking to him, back out and go back again and see if there's any quests to open. There's a Saint 14 quest that isn't obvious.

I'm liking the new season more than I thought I would. Maybe it's because I'm not playing as much as last season, but I liked the Saint 14 quest and the sundial is fun.

I really like that they got rid of the 50 point power level change. Now we can just level up for a week or two and get into the "endgame" stuff right away. In past seasons it takes a month just to get to a good level.

Plus obviously the Sundial is way better than the Vex Offensive. Vex Offensive was ok but got boring in a hurry.

Really though I think overall they've just gotten into a better place where we get rewarded for our time. Even if I only have an hour on a weeknight, I can get something accomplished. There's always plenty to do but I don't feel left behind skipping stuff either. Even just doing a few bounties gets you XP which gives you season pass stuff and levels up your artifact.

I didn't play a lot of the Menagerie Opulence season, so I've been doing a lot of that. Finally got a decent PvP roll on Beloved and man it's nice.

I almost exclusively used Twilight Oath as my sniper in the crucible but this is better.

Menagerie is good fun. A great example of how you can have a matchmade activity and have 6 people and have fun. Beloved is a great PVP sniper, although the Twilight Oath is great in PVE. Rapid Fire snipers are greatly underrated.

A user on reddit put together the PVE dps numbers:

Iron Banner quest is bugged again.. big surprise  . It's so stupid, just let people turn in their tokens without having to grind bugged steps.
Played a match earlier where my whole team was camping the heavy ammo because they all needed rocket launcher kills. Real fun. I swear Bungie is brain dead sometimes.

I don't even bother with IB anymore. It would be nice to get some rewards above 960, but I don't really need them and it isn't worth the hassle. Half the teams are in 6 man fireteams pubstomping, while the others are doing quests and completely ignoring the game.

I've got enough to do in PVE right now. They really need a complete revamping of the PVP sandbox, and not just this little tuning.
