I have to admit, it isn't terrible, it is just drip fed and kind of grindy. I'm starting to get more loot now and supposedly a new quest popped up since the first raid completion happened.

I like it, this is the first Destiny game I’ve played and I feel a lil left out with the story, but it plays sooooooo nice. I still try to do halo 5 moves like dash, burst and float 😆

I haven't been playing this much after beating the campaign because I'm hooked on PoE again but after watching some videos and talking to some people, is it possible I may have spoken too soon on this expansion?

Kerosene31 I've seen you playing a decent amount, you still feel the same way about it?

Yeah, the problem is now you can't judge the DLC on day 1, since so much more comes out the next week with the season, and now even more with the raid. I think this happened last time too. On day 1 the DLC was thin, but two weeks later and there's a lot more.

I've suddenly got plenty to do right now. I'm waiting for weekly reset so I can get my power over 1230 and finish up a lot more.

I still think there are issues (I haven't even touched the raid and am a long way away from that). I think sunsetting is still a big issue and they took away too much loot. I also think too many activities are far too grindy for too little reward. There's one where you have to find 20 destination materials on a spot of Europa where there's probably 5 at a time tops that is just brutal. That means bouncing in and out of the zone a bunch of times. That's just a lazy grind.

Still though, I'm putting a lot of time into it for sure and getting decent rewards out of it. Some of the new weapons are actually really good, and would have taken over even if not for sunsetting. The Bonechiller shotgun is pretty good and the new sidearm is pretty good. The new scout seems like it could be really good.

The lore/story is the one thing that keeps dragging me down. They teased this showdown with the pyramid ships, but did nothing to make it part of the story. Nothing about the current story pulls me in right now, but there's loot so I guess that's all I need. :)

Nope. All the issues it had are still there. A raid, quest, and season content don't change that. It still lacks content. It still drip feeding miniscule content that is a once and done deal. Already sick of doing tge same empire hunts. Strikes are boring and old. Crucible is still terrible. Gambit is still boring. Vendors are garbage and seemingly only have old gear for rewards.

Then thee Europa weapons are garbage and not even worth getting. Older gear is far better.

I'm already done wasting my time with it. Just another massively poor expansion severely lacking meaningful content.

Gonna have to try the 120hz Crucible and 105 FV tonight!

I played a bit of Destiny 1, and just started Destiny 2. Why didn't my character carry over? I don't want to start over at the damn Cosmodome.

They only carried over the look of the character (which is the one thing I would have liked to change!). When D2 launched, the story sort of explained how everything was lost, but now they added the Cosmodrome stuff for people who never played D1. So many PC players never played D1 so they put this "D1 lite" story in. You might even be able to skip it.

Can't skip it. Oh well...doing the grind again.

I'm hoping the Battlegrounds are fun, but I know to go in with low expectations.

Granted, this is usually the season they use to drop some better stuff.

I think it will be fun to revisit those classic D1 strikes.

The new activity is ok. A lot of add clear with some mechanics thrown in, but easy to clear with randos (the default is only 1100 power so easy for now). Could be fun at higher levels.

It is 3 person matchmaking instead of the random public event thing which is nice.

If anyone is wondering WTF we need to do this season. It isn't complicated when someone explains it, but the game doesn't do that

Since they removed SBMM from crucible 9 out of 10 games ends in a mercy. PvP is in a terrible state right now.

The new season is great, but yeah PVP is nearly dead. I always thought I was decent at PVP, but now I go out and get wrecked. I don't even try and play anymore. I just stick to PVE.

What's dumb is they take out SBMM and all you get is the top % of players and every game is super sweaty anyway.

The last time there was SBMM on Iron Banner I spent almost 30 minutes trying to find a match. Great times.

It's popping on consoles.
Most don't want sbmm.

It isn't just SBMM.

They've completely ignored PVP. Stasis is tons of fun in PVE but is annoying in PVP.

There's few rewards for playing, which means it is mostly just the top players in there stomping. Iron Banner is supposed to be the mode for everyone, but it turns into a rout. Those weak rewards aren't worth suffering through getting frozen every 30 seconds.

You wouldn't need SBMM if you got more of the player base into it.

I'll have to try on Xbox and see if it is much better, but last time I tried it was the same nonsense.

Yeah I'm sure its different on console, I haven't had the luck of scoring a next generation system yet. But on PC, the quick play lobbies will humble you FAST.

Hows trials on consoles? I got 2 wins straight just from people jumping off the cliff last week.
