Capcom is bringing DmC Devil May Cry and Devil May Cry 4 to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the publisher announced.

DmC Devi May Cry: Definitive Edition will be available for purchase at retail and as a digital download across Europe and North America on March 17 for $39.99 / €39.99. It will include the original game, all previously released downloadable content, including the “Vergil’s Downfall” campaign, as well as brand new modes and additional gameplay features.

New to the Definitive Edition is the ability to play as Dante’s twin brother in “Vergil’s Bloody Palace Mode.” The “Gods Must Die” difficulty will offer an “extra depth of challenge,” and “Must Style Mode” and “Hardcore Mode” are designed to play more like the series’ classic entrie. There will also be new Dante and Vergil costumes inspired by the series’ classic haracter designs.

The game will also see balancing and improvements based on fan feedback, as well as modifiers that can be turned on at various stages, including “Turbo Mode,” which allows players to increase the speed of play for “faster and more intense combat.” Additional leaderboards, trophies / achievements, and social features are also included.

Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition is due out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in summer 2015

but secretly you did, right...right?.....I mean this is just backward compatibility, but more expensive. Everybody and their dog was crying about the lack of Backward compatibility at launch.

As for DMC, I enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy it enough to warrant a double-dip.

BINGO! BC, ask and you shall receive. This and and streaming services are what will constitute BC this gen...

Have been waiting for a Steam sale to get this on PC and pretty sure it has dropped to around $25 or even less. Will probably still be cheaper to go that route plus buy all the DLC with it.... otherwise I would be interested in this if I didn't PC game.

Oh hell yeah. DMC4 was so good. Probably top 3 for all games I played last gen. I unfortunately never did play DmC. Would be nice to give it a chance with this.

$40? I'll wait for it for $20 or less. Had this game on PS2. Solid game, but only got half way through it. There were some enemies/bosses I'd get pummeled. I don't think I was fighting them right as the damage seemed to only inch it's way down at a snail's pace.

My idea of BC is ability to play your existing last gen games, or a game for last gen (that is probably very discounted), & not to pay FULL price to play a more shiny version of an existing game.

This is slowly turn into a gen of remakes.

Yeah you most likely weren't fighting the bosses correctly. If you knew what you were doing you could always inflict pretty good amount of damage to every boss.

This might be a good deal for me, I never played either DMC4 or the remake but liked both demos on ps3

Devil may Cry 4 Remastered

welcome to the remastered gen. It is no wonder why all these game companies wanted X86 hardware lol.

Wasn't a fan of the game just because of what they did to Dante. So i never picked it up. I'll get this for the PS4 and give it a go.

Wow. Scratch two more games off the backlog. I'll just pick them up on the Xbox One when I decide to purchase a new console lol

Love the music in Devil May Cry 4. Really good soundtrack.

Be my guess that these are just that...PC assets, hopefully optimized for each console.

Well the PC port was just a polished PS3/360 version at 1080p and 60fps. The game ran flawlessly from day 1. If this ends up looking better than that version then I will double dip.
