Disney+ (Disney Plus) UPDATE Hulu To Merge Into Disney+ March 2024

I am somewhat interested in the super bundle, but I already have the year of ESPN+ which is $60 I think. I'm not sure I'd use enough Disney or Hulu to make up for the extra vs just buying a month of either of them when needed.

U.S. subscribers can expect their monthly fee to jump from $7 to $8 starting on March 26, 2021. Disney’s package deal with Disney+, ad-supported Hulu, and ESPN+ will also increase from $13 to $14 a month. It wasn’t immediately clear whether subscribers in other countries can expect future price hikes for either Disney+ or the Disney Bundle.

My wife and I locked in for 3 years through various deals, like Verizon free 1st year, on top of early subscriptions.

The fact is, even if I didn't do that, D+ is INSANELY cheap for what it offers. Sure it's still a bit back-catalog heavy, but new shows are coming, and I personally love all of the vintage stuff. Here's the real value: The fact that you can share this account with 7 people is ABSURD! We don't have kids, so we share with my wife's family. We have more slots if we wanted, but most people I know already have the service.

Looking forward to watching Pixar's Soul on Christmas Day for "free"!

Catalog is to small and the service is to young to increase the price already.. not a good sign.
f*** Disney
I get it. It's personal taste/value. But in all honesty, you could have split it with 7 people and paid $1/mo, if you're that frugal... excuse me, it would now be $1.14/mo. Actually way cheaper than that if paying for the year.

But you don't like their back-catalog, so I guess that's not going to matter. They just announced several new Star Wars series, and they already have 2 more in production, plus at least 3 Marvel shows in production right now. I pay $6/mo for CBS All-access, which I think is a much worse deal for the content they have. Also, lets talk about Netflix value. They have arguably good content, but not always exactly Hollywood level production. (The Crown is FANTASTIC, though!). If you want 4K, Netflix is $18/mo for 4 accounts. I personally think that what Netflix charges a month is a lot more questionable, if I had to drop a streaming service. Especially now that I also signed up for HBO MAX ($15/mo).

I rather have a PHYSICAL collection when it comes to SW Movies.
The series are great thus far but the price hike this early is a bit much and makes me worry that more are coming sooner rather than later. Not surprised because it's f***ing Disney.
We can share it with 7 people? If so that's great and don't expect it to last with Disney at the helm.

Netflix is getting to expensive but still offers a vastly superior service as does HBO Max.

I'm actually much more concerned with them taking away the 7ppl sharing feature than another dollar price increase. I can't say I didn't see that coming, either. The price was set before COVID-19, and when theaters were still where they made huge movie profits.

I know it's actually a bit like Xbox right now, with mostly legacy content available, while all of the new projects are still in various phases of production. But we now have been promised just yesterday, a seemingly endless amount of Star Wars and Marvel series content coming for the foreseeable future. Sure, they have been pushing their movie slate back to accompany theaters, but I'm good with Pixar's new movie "Soul" this month, and WandaVision will also start in a little over a month. As long as new content doesn't dry up for months at a time while everything is in production, I'm good.

I think I'd seriously consider paying that just for Star Wars+ given the stuff they announced.
LOL, after all of the announcements, I know that I will be tempted to call it Star Wars+ at some point. It kinda feels like that, but those Marvel shows look good, too!

Another 12 a year isn't a problem whatsoever. I have about 5 months left on my fios promo, but i'm gonna keep it. My niece uses it and that alone is worth it to me
