Kind of wish the next consoles will implement Nvidia architecture because it's better as emphasized in this 24 games comparison. Goes to show how they should just focus on upscale techniques for better performance vs going native.

I wish MS and Sony had gone with Nvidia this console cycle given how well their tech works. But as both chose AMD for what I'm assuming is economic reasons, I hope they stick with it next console cycle if for nothing else but back compatibility purposes.

I agree. But MS and Sony's business help keep AMD afloat. I can't imagine a world where only Nvidia is making GPUs. I love their tech and software, but hate their business practices.

DLSS CAN be better than native in certain games, one in particular I noticed awhile ago was Outriders and this usually has to do with what type of post processing the game uses at native vs DLSS.

I can't really tell the difference anymore outside of some ghosting in DLSS. My go to version of DLSS is 2.5.1, which I use to swap out today's games that have DLSS implementation. Only game that has issues with swapping DLSS version is BF2042. That DLSS is ass and EA needs to update that old version asap.

Is DLSS really that much better than FSR 2.2? Because Nvidia would really put the screws to Microsoft/Sony on any deal they would make.

Supposedly, Microsoft had a prototype ready for a mid-generation launch that was supposed to have an ML block, dedicated hardware to make upscaling on consoles on par with DLSS.

However, it sounds like they have since scrapped it because they thought it would be too confusing for the market.
