Just curious if anyone here does artwork?

True story:

When I was in college I drew my then girlfriend a picture as a random romantic gesture. It was a copy of a Tom Petty concert flyer with an illustration of a cherubic baby on the front. Just a random pic I found and we both liked Tom Petty, so I thought it might be a good fit. For me, I thought I did a pretty good job.

She looked at it, screamed, threw it on the floor, and immediately changed the subject as if it had never happened. In hindsight I guess it sucked, but still.

So no, I don't do drawings.

I do artwork. I also draw too. Nothing too serious. I just do it for fun. This was a recent one.

Would you be willing to help make one and what do you charge?

I am not trained in any type of art but I am a constant doodler. All day on the phone at work I am doodling. Any time I'm in a group and listening to someone (meetings, speaking engagements, church, etc) I am looking for pen and paper to doodle. Some people would get offended thinking I'm not paying attention but it's quite the opposite - it's how I tune in. Quite often I draw something that is pertinent to the subject matter. I can freehand slides presented, sometimes I'll draw the speaker themselves. And it's always cartoon-style characters.

My family thinks when I retire from my real job that I should start my own daily cartoon series but making work of this would be a chore. I can actually envision making a comic of all the personalities here...that would be a hoot!

Not sure why I just ran with all that but one thing for sure...I'm not the person you are looking for!

I wouldn't ever charge, but what would you like?
So here is my goal. I plan on opening a brewery, making my own beers and having a small fare menu. My logo idea came from this logo (which is a local brewer near me):

What I would like is to use the following picture overall shape (including mug):

But I would like it to be made in line art using this artistic style:

Where the hair is of course the official orange from the Irish flag (22/155/98 ) RGB, the clothing is the official Irish flag green (255/136/62) and the rest is black lines (0,0,0).

So I guess in a vector format so that it can be stretched and reduced and image quality kept, not pixels like in Photoshop.

I think I might suck too much at that kind of professional art. I also have no experience with Illustrator. I'm really sorry but I think that is beyond my amateur abilities. That's awesome you are opening a bar tho

Yeah, I guess I can post some stuff.

I do a variety of work. Here are a few.

These are local landscapes from where I live. Oil paintings.

And for fun, a digital painting based on the Sega Genesis game.

You can see more here, but please keep in mind that some of this stuff was done for fun or for study. ...Also, some of these date all the way back to junior high! http://www.artwanted.com/drewmelton

Most of the art I'll be doing from now on will be for my indie game. You guys do follow the indie developer thread in the OTL don't you?
