Doki Doki Literature Club

I played the original, great little fun twisted game that messes a little bit with your mind. Not sure if I will play the Plus version.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES IN DOKI DOKI LITERATURE CLUB PLUS?​

The differences in Doki Doki Literature Club Plus are as follows:

  • HD visuals
  • Six new side stories
  • 13 additional music tracks
  • 100+ unlockable images
Although the new side stories content is rather vague, it’s said that it will provide hours of additional story. Meanwhile, the unlockable images include never-before-scene concept sketches, as well as wallpapers and game art.

Its HD visuals will also makes it sirens look more cutesy and waifu material, so there’s that to look forward to as well.

However, the PlayStation version of the game has some visual changes to one of the scenes. To avoid spoilers, it’s the scene towards the end of Act 2 in the classroom, just before the weekend starts. I designed the changes myself, and I feel confident in them because I don’t consider the psychological effect of the scene to have been diminished in any way; I wouldn’t have accepted that kind of compromise.

Basically, the change is not a big deal–I just wanted to make everyone aware of it in advance, because I know that DDLC fans will notice it as a difference from the original game. I wanted to avoid a scenario where people would spot the difference and think that the game was unfairly tampered with by some other company.

Why though ? The last of Us 2 shows far worse.

I remember watching my friend playing this game on her twitch stream and was super shocked by the twist. Definitely a game you have to enjoy without knowing what it was all about.
