Dragon's Dogma

Best part of the game is the Everfall and Bitterblack Isle, in my opinion you're just starting the best stuff of the game. Especially, Bitterblack for me.

Oh yeah? I'll see how it goes, but from reading up on what is ahead, looks like a long dungeon crawl with big monsters and more loot, which I'm not really a fan of. The idea of that feels a little tedious right now. I think I've had enough. The story is finished, and this part feels kind of tacked on. I dunno, we'll see. Maybe I'll just put it aside and maybe come back to it later, if I get in the mood for more slaying of Cyclops etc.

You must finish what you started. The real ending is at the end of Everfall. You must continue Anderson. You are Dragon's Dogma's only hope.

It is a dungeon crawl with big monsters and more/different loot, so maybe you won't like it as much as i did. I personally liked Bitterblack Isle more than the regular game (IE the part you played) by alot. Everfall i did like, but not nearly as much as Bitterblack.

Yeah, I really don't enjoy the mixture of dark, oppressive environments and really tough enemies that you find in Bitterblack Isle or Dark Souls. Just not my thing.

If what thou sayest has aught truth in it, then I aught to continue (have I mentioned that this game uses "aught" way too much?). I shall play a bit more ... at least until I stop having fun. It really does feel as if the whole purpose of the game has been accomplished. I've got my heart back from the dragon. Good enough, let's call it a day. But I'll press on for a while longer, at least until I stop having fun.

But the real danger lies in Everfall. The story actually doesn't complete until you get the 20 wakestones. Everfall is tough at the beginning (I was scared to death of many rooms) but you will level quickly and get some very nice loot from the main boss that will make Bitterblack much easier. I would look at a guide for the Everfall rooms and then start doing the easier ones until you are prepared for the harder ones.

Also, the offline main boss isn't that bad. And its loot is sweeeeeeeeeeet! I first killed it at level 75 I think. Then I went back and did it 5 more times. Also, hehe, the monsters in Gransys are much more difficult and you can collect materials to make some super weapons and armor.

I remember playing the demo for this on the 360 and not enjoying it at all, I think they had certain classes blocked off or something. Anyway I gave Dark Arisen a try because it was on sale for like $15 on PSN and man I'm really liking this game even though they clearly didn't put much effort into the graphical upgrades for the PS4/X1. I have been alternating between mage and sorcerer and really enjoying it, the combat feels good although I do think the casting time for the spells is a bit long and also they don't do enough melee damage with their basic heavy attack.

I think I'm at level 61 right now but the game is a lot of fun but I think it could be more fun with some basic changes like if I had my way I'd take sprinting off of the stamina bar, I know it makes sense on the surface to be there but it just artificially lengthens travel between places, I even have the enhancement to make sprinting take less stamina and it's still a bit much.

I'd love to see them do a sequel where the world is opened up a bit and add some mounts, of course I'd love to see Dragon, Griffin and Cockatrice mounts but I know that won't happen :) I'd love to actually be able to control a dragon and attack something in one of these fantasy games for a change lol.

I'm glad you're enjoying it. I damn near hated the game by the time I finished it and was glad to be done with it.

I got the game for my mommy last year and she refused to stop going into the expansion area being severely under leveled and getting killed immediately. All she does is play RPG's, but she doesn't listen to my suggestions, or expects me to spend dozens of hours getting through certain parts of games for her.l
