The game looks really good. But it should, its been delayed almost a whole year. And in the end Forza is the only racer pushing 1080 and 60 fps. Massive ownage to all the people who dickwaved specs, seems as though karma has an evil way of creeping up on you. LOL. This was the game i almost bought a PS4 for. I will if it turns out decent. But who knows? Its already technically inferior to Forza, thats got to hurt the dickwavers. Greatness Awaits!

Forza 5 looks like Forza 4 with slightly upgraded visuals so not surprised Forza can hit 1080p/60 and yes I've seen Forza 5 and played it in person. Can you tell which one is which here?

Drive Club looks better than Forza and it should like you said, it's delayed almost a year longer so don't give me that inferior bs, lol.

I never played Forza 4. But 5 is beautiful.

30 fps has never been an issue for me as long as it's smooth and has a good sense of speed. But the double standards from some members is amusing. 60 fps was such a big deal when it came to Tomb Raider.

What...? Thought that was about multiplats etc

Funniest post I have read in awhile.

We won't know that until we get actual game play video and hands on. Sadly, they had to sacrifice half the frame rate in order to accomplish what they wanted on the console.

Come on Dno, you know full well why 60FPS on TR PS4 was a big deal because the game is running on the exact same engine and everything but one console was capable enough for the developers to cap the FPS @ 60 unlocked while with the other one, they weren't confident that it could do the same so capped it at 30 unlocked. Markis is trying to compare 2 different games that are run on two different engines with different effects going on and saying one is inferior? Come on now, comparing two different things.

Whilst I'm slightly disappointed that Drive Club won't be able to do 60 FPS, I'll still reserve some judgment until I see some more gameplay videos and info before saying 1080p/30 is fail for racing.

Guessing the bottom photo is Forza 5

I don't see how it wouldn't, Forza 5 doesn't look that great at all.

Why is it funny? I've played both Forza 4 and 5 in person and 5 does look better but not by a lot. It has a crisper image due to 1080p but that also shows more jaggies compared to 4.

My friend who loves PGR and Forza series said he was disappointed in how the 5 looked because it looked quite similar to Forza 4. It was also one of the reasons why he didn't get a X1 this gen.

And yes, that's why I said we should reserve judgment for later instead of saying one is "technically" inferior based on a trailer with minimal gameplay shown.

I like how people always use that Swiss track to compare Forza 4 & 5.

Anyway...I'm excited for Drive Club. Too bad about the release date though.

Why is it funny?

Because I own and play both games, and find them to be drastically different. But I was really saying funny, because I wasn't surprised we wouldn't be on the same page on this.

What I do know, is at least based on the replay videos on that trailer, the game is going to be sweet as hell. I get a social vibe, with some PGR feel from the game.

But 60 fps in racers are generally considered a must. So yes there are some double standards when it comes to Sony games.

As for Tomb Raider, I bought the PS4 version because I had that choice. But it's not like I would have missed out on something amazing if I had picked the other version.

considered a must for who and why? I don't agre with this, you play a game, you drive it it moves. if it actually felt as fun or more fun than another game, not sure why I'd worry this ..

You can have just as much movement or speed or control in any game, so this 30 is ok for one genre but not the other is funny.

Valliance knows what's up.

I'm not saying the game won't be great at 30 fps. I'm saying the goal posts move from time to time.

Hope you guys drive race cars to work or something. This 60fps talk just seems silly. It's great or whatever if you can choose it, but I didn't find the 60fps modes in Bioshock that much better, and found having a less solid IQ much more irritating.

I'd think a game that drives good and fun at 30 fps is better than a game that doesn't drive good at 60. You guys focus is way off base, oh well.

I will say when I rented Need for Speed I enjoyed it and I think it is 30 fps. I never felt like I was playing a 30 fps racer and it still had a nice sense of speed but I would still prefer 60 fps.

That's all I'm saying. It's never been a big deal to me either. But it is a big deal to certain people in certain situations.

As long as it's beautiful and smooth and fun. I don't care.

I'll just reference this thread or the infamous thread for future 60/30 fps discussions.

Seems like if there was home improvement lawnmower racer some of you would be happy with it if it clocked in at 60fps

If it looks smooth at 30 fps what's the problem? It looks like the visuals have gotten upgraded in the last few months and it has a much more complex lighting system than the one in F5 yet people want to point out the fps as a big deal? 30 is fine, if they could have hit 60 even better but if they can convey a nice sense of speed at 30 than there is really nothing to complain about. I don't get this idea of "if it's not 60 fps I'm not buying" without actually having tried it yet. Nice thing is anyone who is a PS+ member will get to try it for free, 5 tracks with 11 variations and 10 cars is a pretty nice sample size IMO. One thing for those of you comparing to F5, Drive Club's visuals have constantly been upgraded since it was shown, F5 was downgraded from it's reveal to keep that 60fps.

Until we see actual gameplay, the new trailer doesn't have any gameplay, it's seems to be all replay mode, we don't really know how much Drive Club has been 'upgraded.' As we've seen in the past, replay mode usually doesn't come close to the graphical fidelity of actual gameplay.

The 60 vs. 30 argument is simply because of how much of a stink that was made when a game was announced for the Xbox One as 30fps. Goal posts have been moved now, first with inFamous and now with Drive Club, which is fine, but this game being 30fps pretty much ends any degrading of an Xbox One game being for being 30 fps. As it stands right now, all but one of Sony's first party games in 2014 are 30fps. The Show is the only exception I believe.

Don't agree with the last part, I think they knew where they would be for F5, they only wanted it to look better at E3. They knew it wouldn't hit that mark.

Oh come on, you are arguing 30/60 based on one game on one platform, this is not the same game between two platofrms with the same visuals minus the Frames. That is what people discuss, this is a game made with specific effects and IQ, weather, lighting and that makes a difference in arguments completely. You saying this whole goal post thing in this thread isn't needed.

Also isn't fair you bring up these comparison arguments in Sony game threads and don't allow it in MS ones. Now, I'm being fair, honest and sincere so I hope you don't delete this or ban me for some reason of being off topic like you have been doing.

All that "dick waving" turned out to be true, pretty much every game looks and performs better on the PS4, some at double the resolution and even double the frame rates.

Forza may be 1080P at 60fps, but so are most download/indie titles.

The technical superiority of Forza 5:

This Forza 5 lady is not at all happy that her weather and time of day never changes, EVER, and that the trees looks like they were stolen from Minecraft:

I responded to a post made in this thread. Thank you for telling me how I should be posting.

Most people that were bringing up the 30 vs 60 with X1 games did it for Tomb Raider because there was another version of the same game running on another platform at a higher frame rate. When you are comparing two different games it's a lot different even if they are in the same genre, DC has a much more complex lighting system going on than F5 does.

But you are taking it to heart and I see that as a form of biased, because you don't allow the same idea in X1 threads. That is what I see, and it just isn't fair between platforms X1/ps4 or posts. If your going to allow that here, you should perhaps bee a little more lean on the same idea in the X1 section as well. lead by example

It isn't a huge huge deal though imo, it isn't a game people care a lot about. I think games such as Destiny will be the ones people care to see the difference between more.

Who knows? could be, I mean there were people saying X1 games at E3 were going to be downgraded by the time they came out and some were.
