Xbox Rumors and Speculation

CD Project is too expensive. MS isn't going to shell out 8 Billion for a studio unless it comes with alot of IPs and talent. That's a Ubisoft or Square enix type of purchase.

Then I'm changing it to Rockstar OR they take Bioware from EA, since Anthem failed (and because of the assume it couldn't happen bit).

Now Bioware from EA is interesting. Mind you they already have a comparable studio in Obsidian. But if it comes with the IPs like mass effect, dragon age etc. I could see MS making a play. Depends on how EA really feels about the studio and how big of a check MS is willing to make.

Whateves...

For the record, I wouldnt state it if I hadnt heard it from someone I know to be pretty reliable. I didnt promise anything. It's what I heard so Im waiting on official confirmation as well. BUT, what I know about this particular deal and how much you know in comparison, I can assure you, it's you who needs more toilet paper than I do. Dats dat!
No more to the unknown thread for you buddy.

InXile is officially advertising themselves as a AAA studio in their job postings. Considering some of their big hires recently from Blizzard, Sony Santa Monica and Rockstar, makes sense.

Microsoft hid a AAA studio in plain sight. Told you all not to overlook Brian Fargo (head of InXile) now that he's got money to spend for the first time since he ran Interplay.

dang, I regret tripping up on that interview lol

I really feel like Remedy would be a good pick up for MS but Remedy maybe understandably want no part of that.

I agree. They really lack a first party studio offering their kind of games. At least they announced two projects that are also coming to XSX.

I want Quantum Break 2 to happen and it's looking Remedy isn't working on it. So Maybe MS can get a different studio to work on it, like Ready at Dawn for example.

Ready at Dawn seems to be joined at the hip with Sony. Even if they never purchase Remedy, I would still have them work on QB 2 as an exclusive.

Their schedule is packed already with CrossfireX and 2 other projects. Doesn't leave alot of room for QB2.

It's confirmed. In addition to Wasteland 3, inXile is working on a bigger, ambitious RPG.

Remedy has always been a hit or misses too many times. I think MS not getting them was a smart move.
Now back when it was OG Xbox MS should have gotten Bioware at its peak.

Microsoft's Cali studios have been poaching big time. Experienced, established developers are buying into what Xbox is selling. In the end, it's about the talent. Not the name on the front of the building.

According to a rumor, Microsoft and SEGA prepare an announcement together

There still seems to be some time left for Microsoft to showcase the games that will accompany Xbox Series X later this year and early next year. Yes, we know about Halo Infinite and all those that will be backward compatible, but there is an extra point that leaves the launch of the console with a better taste.

And it is that accompanying it with quality titles is going to be key for its future, all this beyond power and price. You know, without games there is no paradise. And this part is today the Achilles heel of Xbox, the volume of exclusive quality games. SEGA and Microsoft on Xbox Series X

With recent rumors about the possibility of a Panzer Dragon Saga remake on the horizon. There are not a few rumors that we will be reading in the coming days. Directly from SEGABits, the self-proclaimed main portal on SEGA news, we get another rumor that could make all this more meaningful.
The site says that both Microsoft and SEGA would have prepared a joint announcement for us on June 14, the date of which was E3 2020.

https://twitter.com/SEGAbits/status/...784745472?s=20

Does a partnership with SEGA make sense?

Beyond the fact that the source does not provide information beyond a tweet with a modified image, most likely it is the aforementioned announcement of a Panzer Dragon and is planned to be shown at a Microsoft digital event. With the current status of SEGA and the small scope that such a game would have, I would not bet that it would be an Xbox exclusive, although if some marketing deal.

Nor do I see Microsoft betting their money on something like this, especially if we take as a basis the "failure" that Crimson Dragon supposed on Xbox One. Be that as it may, take this information with caution.

Just for fun, let’s say this is true, and there was going to be an E3 presentation. What would you like to see?
