I thought this was MS exclusive, how can they release it for PS? 1080p version incoming?

I could not recommend this game more. If it comes to PS4 people should buy it.

Just timed just like Peggle 2. It was obvious that both PvZ: GW and Peggle 2 eventually come out for PS4.

If you don't have an Xbox you should get this. If you have either Xbox consoles you should get this.

Great f***ing game. Also, it's been out there for a while that this game was going to almost all platforms, minus the Wii U. Hope it sells even more than it has already. Would love a sequel to it.

Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare is a timed-exclusive on Xbox One

When asked if Garden Warfare was conceived for other platforms originally, Lindley added, “It didn’t really come about that way. We’d always envisaged ourselves as a very focused game, and I think the relationship with Microsoft just made it a convenient place to start. Additionally, we’re kind of a small team. We’re not really staffed to just launch on five or six platforms at once, so we really needed to focus on a couple of platforms to start with, and then the relationship with Microsoft has made those choices easier for us.”

We got the XBO version.... if 1080p and priced right I will double dip great game.

You would really double dip?

I have it for the X1 and had no idea of its resolution only that the game looks awesome and runs great. Anyone looking to get this shouldn’t be put off by the adorable presentation. There is a meaty third person shooter behind the cute face. Also, don’t let microtransactions get you thinking that’s the way to go for unlocks. You can get plenty of in-game currency just from playing the game.

Yeah I have it on X1 too and never once thought about the resolution.

Yeah, but nobody gave a damn when it released and it looked good. It was to be expected that this talk would start again after a PS4 version would be announced. I don't mind some resolution talk and i always hope for the best for both systems, but this stuff seems to be the ONE and only important thing nowadays, getting a bit ridiculous really. I am willing to bet that PvZ GW will not look very different in 1080p. Do not expect any drastic changes. Personally i find double dipping for those extra few p's....over the top.

Well, to be fair, next-gen was supposed to be mostly 1080p games where the PS4 was able to achieve this... it's just the standards have been dumbed down a little because of the X1 so most people are expecting 792p to 900p now.

I also didn't mention the 1080p in hopes of igniting another comparison war but it's just that the trend is that PS4 titles are mostly higher in resolution so it just made sense to me to assume this.

Sony fans like yourself make it sound like there's hardly any 1080p games on X1, when there are lots. As many as PS4, no. Without going over a master list, I wouldn't be surprised if more than half are 1080p.

And don't forget that F5 was the sole 1080p/60fps full budget exclusive until Sony released (ahem) a sports game at 1080/60fps (The Show). Something every EA Sports game so far and NBA 2k14 are on both 1080/60.

And besides, Sony has done their share of odd resolution adjustments like claiming KZ SF's MP was 1080p/60 fps when it really was that weird 960x1080p at a wildly unlocked frame rate. Only confirmed by GG months later after DF exposed it. All the while they kept their mouth shut for about 4 months. And 1886 claims 1080p but uses a good portion of the screen as static black borders. The gameplay window is supposed to be similar to 800p gaming.

I like you Naty. But that OP was a little trollish. Not just the resolution remark but the feigned shock that a timed EA exclusive would come out to other consoles after the time frame was up.

Like I said, the trend so far seems to be the PS4 having higher resolution or some better effects. A 1080p assumption is pretty fair I think, just like how Trials Fusion was 800p at first, then got bumped to 900p with the patch while the PS4 version was 1080p from the get-go. So far, there has only been 2 titles that were released sub 1080p and the most recent one was Watch Dogs.

Oh. Well, for the record, it was not my intention to make it sound trollish at all, I apologize. I honestly thought it was just a MS exclusive and not timed. Then the 1080p comment was just a guess since all of PS4's titles have been 1080p so far except BF4 and Watch Dogs where one had a whole bunch of things going on and the other is a open-world game. All of the indie and smaller titles are 1080p so I was just assuming.

Fair enough. I didn't mean that it was a trollish post only that it could have been taken that way.

I honestly had no idea that the game wasn't 1080p on X1. It looks great and more importantly is fun.

Yeah, I think 900p this gen will be just fine, I like the art direction of PvZ: GW.

I wasn't dissing the game in fact id take it over any current exclusive on that "oth4r" platform. 900p isn't a huge difference to 1080p like 720p is but there is a difference. I am admittingly guilty of wanting better resolution/FPS but I am in no way dissing the XBO version for what it is.

Game is coming out six months later. I would hope there would be improvements to it.

I think the 900p was more hardware limited rather than development time limited for the X1. Even if they came out at the same time in August, the X1 could still be 900p for all we know since some other game titles show the same trend. But I guess it's all just speculation now so not much point in discussing this aspect.

Well the trend isn't going away anytime soon or ever.

The question is, is trumpeting PS4's superiority going get old at some point? I hope.

OMG, PS4 owners have to wait until August.

The game will not sell well on PS4 because self respecting PS4 gamers will be totally engrossed in Diablo 3. :D
