I'm optimistically looking forward to EDF 2025. I loved EDF 2017 and had a good time with EDF: IA, though it pales in comparison to 2017, it's one real saving grace was online co-op. 2025 looks to right some of the wrongs of IA, bringing back the giant robots from 2017 and more variety of enviornments. Anyone else looking forward to EDF:2025?

Funny I thought edf:ia was the better game with class and online.

Also the AI was better as well.

I just didn't like that EDF:IA was pretty redundant with the levels and enemies. I loved the variety of levels and enemies in 2017 and the campiness was better in 2017, the big knock against it for me was the lack of online co-op. I still thought IA was a really fun game, definitely worth playing if you liked 2017

I hope they have better rewards for multiple playthroughs this time. IA was just tedious after beating it once.

I'm not digging this one at all. The trouble with it right from the get go is that it looks too good for it's style. Part of the charm of 2017 was that it looked s***ty like a old bad sci-fi movie. This takes away from the formula where Insect Armageddon upgrade it's visuals starting from the conceptual stage. This just looks like they took old concepts and models, beefed them up a bit, and threw some other random things to say they have new stuff. Although, to be fair, it looks like they do try and mix up the level design a bit here and there. Plus, class based stuff is always cool. It's like they're trying to mix the last two games into one, so they gotta be given credit for that.

For some reason I don't think the graphics don't look that great, maybe on par or a skooch bit better than IA. I hear ya on the charm of the graphics in 2017, I thought the SNES graphics fit the game to a tee. Funny though the graphics in 2017 were all over the place, some of the robots were pretty good and most of the ants were pretty crappy. I remember the first time you encountered the giant robots on the beach level. It was like something outta war of the worlds with the robots striding onto the beach from the ocean, I thought it was awesome, and thought the gfx were pretty cool.

I had forgotten about this game. Heck yeah I'm ready for it. EDF for life!!!!!!

The NPC's in 2017 were so funny!
