Still can't see what people find so great with this.
Graphically it looks okay, except the animations that look horribly last, last gen.
If it was a ps exclusive I'd understand why it would get hyped, but it's a multiplatform release... people can be critical and there's no reason for fanboys to get all moisty.

I'll probably get it because I ended up really enjoying Demon's Souls remake but I don't look at this and think it looks amazing or anything, it looks fairly average graphically imo. If someone really likes the art style that's fine, I think some of the combat moves like that dragon head thing look pretty cool but a lot of the enemies look blah to me. I don't know why so many Japanese devs think to make something scary all you have to do is throw a ton of eyes or arms on it lol.
Game looks amazing. You obviously aren't a Demon/Dark Souls fan, if you were you would "see."
Graphics doesn't stop you from playing halo right? Elden scroll graphics looks like Picasso compare to Halo infinite.
It's an open-world Dark Souls/Demon's Souls game, that's plenty to like for fans of the series/genre.
I enjoyed Demon's Souls remake so I'm interested in this one. It being crossgen doesn't bother me as much since this type of game is more for the gameplay anyways than the visuals. It won't look as good as DS remake but so far it still looks great for a crossgen. Now if they can nail the gameplay and bosses, this one will be a hit with gamers for sure.
DS remake looked last gen too, those PS3 era animations looked hideous.
They weren't PS3 animations or PS3 era they remade the animations and kept the timing exactly the same. The animations looked quite good, much better than most of the DS games IMO.
No, they looked like s***, the main character doesn't react to the surfaces he walks on.

The Souls games have better animations than WRPG's not made in Japan.
