Holy crap... I spent 75 hours to platinum the game and I was level 168 or something but I did do that farm at Mohg's palace that gave you 100k in like 5-10 mins depending on how fast you kill the spawns.

Yeah,I am trying to go there now but do you really need to do 3 invasions ? also theres is another way but you need Niall first...there was aanother glitched way to get there without killing Niall by jumping off a cliff in Mountaintops, that would activate the Consecrated grounds Statue of Marika lol...guess they patched it.

Also,I was a heavy sneaker in Limgrave, thats one reason my time is high ;)

Yeah, the 3 invasions is part of that quest to get the item that will teleport you there. You can invade but you don't have to kill the host. You can just return to your world I believe.

The other way is to get the two halves of the Haligtree Secret Medallion and just use the teleporter at the West end there.

I'm having a hard time with this game, it's just so dull. It's being praised to high heaven, but it has nothing in it. Just feels like random disparate locations and fight with the goal of becoming the Eldon Lord of absolutely nothing.

It's akin to one of those time wasting mobile games without the monetization.

If someone is looking for easy mode just equip a great shield with high guard boost, don't forget to add in the great shield talisman. Pair this up with a weapon like a spear, I'm using the Serpent spear which is surprisingly powerful. You won't be flashy like my old Faith/Strength build but you'll be a lot harder to kill. This is a build I've just tried out to see how effective it could be and now I'm thinking of using my first respec to arrange my stat spread to align with this build.

You gotta love a game that offers this many options for builds and play styles.

Troll much?

Blaidd vanished from my game. First time I saw him was during the Rahdan fight and I've not seen him since.
Did you go to the Forlorn Hound Evergol? You hear his howl and do the finger snap. Then try to go in and he should talk to you (he's trapped there)

Lots of buffs and nerfs to Collossal weapons, spells, incantations, and weapon skills.

Do you guys hit every wall you come across to reveal a secret?

I ask because since I started working on a new build around a shield I went online looking for what is considered to be the best shield. And it turns out this shield (Fingerprint Stone Shield) is obtained by going through a secret area in a boss room I defeated a while ago. How in the hell was I supposed to know that alter was hiding a secret entrance to a difficult parkour section to obtain a new incantation as well as this brick wall of a shield. I doubt I'll be hitting all the walls I come across but I can't help but wonder how many items I've missed because I don't feel like beating on every wall I come across.

I don't know it just didn't work for me. There didn't seem any motivation for my character to be doing any of this. I like a bit of actual story, not just a lesson in history/lore. that's why I compared it to a mobile game I was just playing for the sake of playing, filling time.

Don't get me wrong the fights were good, hard, but honestly after I completed the campaign and did the Malenia fight and... No... That's it. RPGs of this nature usually occupy me for months, but the world just didn't engage me. I don't see me going back to it.

What I liked about the souls games is missing, the interconnectedness, (if that's a word), of the world, this just seems randomly placed to fill up a map.

When people say Elden Ring doesn't have interconnectedness, I can tell they haven't played much of the game.

Anyway new VR mod coming....

Do a lot of people say it? I suppose a series of ladders that takes 20 seconds to scale is technically interconnecting as are lifts, some that require a fade to black , but it's nowhere near the feeling of intricacy that the souls games managed to pull off? Now I honestly can't remember if there were such things in the souls games but the point is the surprise was there, the game guided me without me even realizing it. Elden Ring just didn't do that.

Again I can tell who hasn't played much.
It has shortcuts/interconnects in a bunch of areas.

You need to play it more.
Take your time explore etc.
Especially if you spent money on it.

You claim you like the Souls games? This is them on steroids.

Can't finish the game, stuck on Maliketh, tried it about 10 times now and sometimes ,I cant even touch him...I tried coop with my nephew but your partner only has half of their healing items and the Bosses are harder so I have a better chance with this Boss solo with my Mimic...might try summoning randoms hoping I get carried lol...pretty pissed though, stopped playing for a few days, went back to finish off Cyberpunk.

Elden Ring is no different than other souls games except for the fact that the world is open and not linear. It guides you the same but with the extra Grace general direction arrow. It connects in very similar ways, there are tunnels, teleporters, magic chests, ladders, etc. The story is told in the same way. Etc.

If you don't like it you don't like it, but really isn't much different from Souls games.

I think the open world is my issue with it. It just doesn't seem to work for me as well as the linearity of the souls games. That said I didn't like those when I first played them, but that was entirely a combat issue, which I got used to, and I do prefer the combat in this.

Bloodborne is where combat never clicked, too fast for me I think, a pity as I find the gothic setting more appealing than the medieval. That's why I never played Sekiro or Code Vein they came after Bloodnorne and I thought they'd be more in that style of gameplay. You get the complaint from many that they're all the same game but they're most definitely not.

Sorry my first post did come off a little trollish but I was a bit peeved that other than the combat, the game just wasn't working for me,

Its all good. No game works for everybody.

I hate Skyrim, I'm sure there are plenty here who would burn me at the stake for that.

Grats on the Plat,It"s cool lol,I will not get the platinum unless I do a NG+,which I will absolutly not do lol, because I didnt do the storage/cloud save thing to have 2 saves,I am getting the Elden Lord ending probably.

You can still save it, just have the USB storage for your save after the final boss and you can go back 3-4x for the different endings 😉

Not sure I understand, first of all I dont have a USB drive on my PS5 so I need to get one, which needs to be formatted right ? I cant take an existing USB drive with other stuff on it to use on the PS5...now for example I am at the Grace after defeating Maliketh, how do I tell the game to use USB when I do save and quit,it sends it to internal and cloud...I then copy the save from cloud or Internal to the USB and dont use it afterwards, until I want to restart at Maliketh after I beat the game with one of the endings ?

I am already locked out of the Three Fingers ending
I agreed with Melenia at the big Forge after beating the fire Giant and did not go through the Flame door in the sewers, where you had to get naked to touch it

Correct. You need to format the usb first.

So basically what you can do is, save at a grace after the last boss fight. Then exit game, copy that save file to your usb. Then go back in game, do one of the endings. Get the trophy, exit delete the console save version, copy the usb version back to the console after. Start the game again, you should be back at the instance where you just finished last boss, do second ending, rinse and repeat until all endings are done.

I don't remember the requirements for 3 fingers but I did remember doing it as my last ending 🤔
