No different then buying a season pass or buy the limited edition games. Hell the killer instinct fight stick cost more them a whole year of subscription of a MMO.

It's different because you HAVE to have a subscription to play the $60 game. With season passes and limited editions, they are not required to play the core game. To put an extra paywall on top of an MMO fee is just not necessary. I'd venture a guess that MS/Sony are going to get a cut of that $15/month charge. If they could get away with a monthly charge to watch a movie on their console I'm sure they'd do that too. And there'd still be people defending it. lol

true you HAVE to have a subscription to order to play, but do you really need it? NO but will be people out there that will buy it? YES

Same thing with season pass, yes your right you dont have to get season pass to play the game even though this game is not a subscription, but the question is will people buy it to play it? Yes. Do they need it? No.

What I am saying people will spend money on anything without thinking. You have people who buy collectors editions because they like to collect stuff so they will put the $150 into it to have it.

Well same thing, they are people that love MMO and know they can get the best entertainment for their subscription.

Same here. I'm hoping they'll still churn out single-player games.

Oh, they will. It's a different developer, working on this. I'm sure Bethesda proper is hard at work on Fallout 4.

Yeah. But Microsoft make it so you don't need Xbox live, it'll be a kick in the teeth for everyone who has gold membership. If they make it so you need gold membership to play, it'll be like a kick in the teeth because you've already paid for Xbox live.

Maybe a reduced monthly fee for gold members might be way to go. The game might also end up as a free to play title with tons of micro transactions.

MS have no control on the billing on a game that is not their own game. Maybe they can do that if they made their own MMO.

Don't tease!
There was a leaked document earlier in the year, around the time of the ps4 reveal that showed every development company working on a next gen title and a brief description of that title. Bethesda were on there and the description was sci-fi rpg. ;)

Last I heard, Bethesda said they are trying to convince Sony and Microsoft out of that. But I haven't heard the result.

Furthermore, free-to-play games won't require PlayStation Plus for online multiplayer. During a separate roundtable Joystiq was present at, Sony Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida said, "As far as free-to-play games are concerned, it's the publisher's decision whether they put it inside or outside of PS Plus."

You can find this information many places but i linked one below. I don't know why any publisher would stick it behind the pay wall, but its their option. I remember people arguing whether it was fair or not to PS+ members just like I see some of you guys asking if its fair to Box Live Gold members or not.

Does anyone hope this isn't awesome? I have known people who basically disappeared from existence because they were so wrapped up in MMOs. I have always ignored them (MMOs), but i love me some Elder Scroll so i might be among the missing when this comes out.

Anyone else got a key? Anyone down to play?

So far I just started last night but i really like the customization, the game plays smooth and i like the way the game feels.

Has anyone else played or made it pretty far?

Mods close if thread has been made

Looking forward to any impressions. I was reading a little at G**, and they didn't seem to like it much. They're a pretty negative bunch of there, so I'm interested to here what the Union reps say.

Well so far the game plays well. The UI is clean and I like it. Some MMO's suffer from having cluttered UI's and confusing menus. The combat is nice, but it's taking me a while to get used to the controls.

WASD controls the the character while the mouse moves the camera. Not like clicking the mouse and then moving the camera, but just general mouse movement controls the camera. Its awkward but I'm warming up to it.

Graphically it looks good, my character is gorgeous imo, i'll post caps later.
