Elite Series 2 $154.99 (Warranty Extended) Core 129.99 - Core On Sale For 99 USD

No elite controllers of any kind, old or new!

As far as I can tell these are only sparsely available and I still don't even have a ship date from Amazon.

Some Best Buy's claim to have them, but only over 100+ miles away.

Buffalo. Like Antarctica, but more snow and bad sports teams.

Seriously though, I haven't heard of them being really available anywhere.

Them being this hard to find just makes me want one more now.

Could be intentional.

Let us know if you have any luck. I don't know if I'd trust Best Buy unless it is close. It keeps flipping back and forth between random cities in PA and Ohio having them. Either they are getting a few of them in at a time and they are selling out or something is off. I mean, Cranberry Township in PA has 3 of them supposedly.

I'm pretty sure Walmart just has the wrong SKU listed. It is labeled series 2 but doesn't have the same model number. Still no updates on my Amazon order I placed in June.

Now I finally understand Moby Dick...

Apparently some MS Stores have them in stock. Also, apparently MS has stores in malls now? Shows the last time I went into a mall. :)

You can order and pick it up there. I may try it later. Funny that there's one at the mall I can see from my front porch.

70 miles to the nearest MS Store though

I like Best Buys protection plan that's why Im interested in getting it there.

Yeah I assume they are just going to show up one day... it has just been weird since they supposedly launched Monday and here we are and still waiting. I don't know if they are hitting MS stores first and only doing very limited amounts or something?

I preordered on Amazon back in June and still no updates.

It is just sort of goofy in the age of overnight shipping and real time tracking that none of us seem to be able to buy the thing we want to buy :)

So, even more hilarity. I broke down and ordered online from MS. It gave me the option to pick up at the mall right by my house. Did I did that. I got an e-mail saying it will be ready in 2 hours. That was 3 hours ago :)

So, either they take forever to fill their in-store pickup orders, or they simply don't have any.

I'm just laughing hysterically at this point. Not sure if I will hear from the MS store today or what. The MS Store actually charged my credit card, so they better come up with one.

My best guess is that these have only shipped out in tiny quantities. Best Buy now shows Saturday the 16th and still doesn't even have an online option which is really weird.

Finally got one! MS store finally notified me my order was ready. I'll post impressions tonight if anyone's interested.

I guess MS Store is the best way to go if you really want one. Supplies seem really limited and it seems hit or miss. Even with in store pickup I had to wait a day to get one.

Best Buy says this for me if I wanted to get it there:

Store Pickup: Order now & West Madison will have it ready for pickup by Wed, Nov 13.

It turns out my Amazon order shipped just as MS got my order. :) I ended up cancelling it.

Hard to say exactly how to get one. I'd probably just put in an Amazon order and then check stores periodically. So much for being "launched" last Monday.

Very quick impressions:

Very nice overall. My initial impression is that it is a nice upgrade, but not so huge that people have to get it. The sticks have a little more tension in them and just feel even better. The short trigger pulls are very nice in a game like COD. The biggest thing I like is the shorter "buttons" on the bottom. Those just feel a lot tighter and not so mushy.

Kind of what I expected to be honest. If you're a fan and you want the latest one, by all means grab one. However if you're sort of on the fence and maybe have a series 1, there's no "have to" upgrade if you really don't want to.

For $20 MS will sell a 3 year warranty for a full replacement which wasn't bad.

Also, I think this was already mentioned, but the new charging cable is USB-C. It comes with a nice one, but if you want extras, you want to order a few off Amazon. It comes with one of those nice corded cables (not the cheap, short ones that most electronics come with). I didn't really mess around with the charging base. Probably just plug the thing directly in to be honest.

Not to sound down on it at all, kind of what most expected. Very nice upgrade over the original, but again nothing you should feel compelled to go out and get. If you love controllers and don't mind spending some money (and searching all over for one) go out and get one.

Getting mine from BB on Thursday, my only concern are the grips since I went through 3 of series 1 before I stopped getting them, I did hear the way the grips are built on the new ones that it is impossible for them to fall off.

I never had problems with the old one, so I can't compare. Overall though the whole thing feels even sturdier. It doesn't feel like anything could possibly come off this one, but who knows how it will last.

Need to lighten up on that kung-fu grip.

Was reading about a lot of people having issues with these controllers, how do you F up a launch like this? nobody forced the date, they had all the time in the world and they knew what they needed to improve from the previous model. I guess I'm a little salty because my official Xbox exterior HDD already broke down two days ago and it was only 2 years old, I have a 1TB external HDD that I've had for 4 years that still works just fine and my external nearly 3 year old SSD that's hooked up to my pro has no issues at all. Add to that my previous issue of my scorpio edition controller not being assembled properly and the controller I bought to replace it had buttons sticking right out of the box makes me not have a lot of confidence in xbox quality control.

Good thing I got the 3 year replacement I guess. Zero problems for me so far. Just my potato aim in COD.

Insert the “I wouldn’t be more surprised now than if I woke up with my head sewn to the carpet” gif.

I have an Xbox One X, Elite 1 controller, X1X controller, Xbox One S controller, Xbox OG controller, Xbox One OG and an Xbox One S. Zero issues with any of them, ever.

But my DS4 stopped working. With so many people having DS4 issues, we are losing confidence in Sony quality.

Only had one issue with my Xbox 360 but that was my fault and it falling from from the balcony only made it where you’d need to aid the tray when opening or closing. Didn’t even get the ring of death in it. Found some guy on Craigslist who fixed it lol

My ps4 did eventually die

No issues with the ds4 or elite controller, but I rarely touch the latter.

my brother in-law did have issues with two of his ds4.

no drifting with my switch, the Xbox cross is still ok and the Taco Bell one is back in its box lol she’s too purdy bring her out for lan party’s
