Official Thread Everwild (Viva Piñata like?)

I know, I know….it’s Grubb. But this wouldn’t be surprising considering how little of the game we’ve seen at this point

He's reporting what's been known forever lol, they showed us in engine videos twice and then came out and said they don't even know what kind of game it is yet. I hope it does end up being good I really liked the look of what they have shown us but it was all cinematic, whenever we do see gameplay it's not going to be presented in the same way no matter what it is.

I trust Rare. I didn't think much of Sea of Thieves but that turned out pretty alright after a few years. I would prefer if it were a standalone singleplayer game but that doesn't seem to be in Microsoft's DNA.

I'm assuming this is just conjecture based off the change in creative director, but I think he is probably right. I see that Gary Napper, lead designer for Alien: Isolation, joined the Everwild team about a month ago or so. My guess is that they are trying to keep as much as possible in terms of art and aesthetics since that was received so well, but in terms of the core gameplay and design it is a total redo.

Yeah because RARE said they don't know what it is lol, a senior game designer ending their first week hardly makes it sound like they are very far along. Of course Xbox "expert" and super fan Jeff Grubb said the game was rebooted.
 
None of us know what the game is, and none of us were told it was a survival game by MS. Nothingburger.

What if it’s like the latter only with feet, GAAS Feet Edition? Just a plethora of dlc feet, purely cosmetic tho…
