Looks more like Gears of war in the wild west than anything that'd be called "soulsbourne", but I'm interested.

Not another "soul like" game.
Not every game need to use the Soul format. I personally hate the enemy respawn when you save, or lost all "exp" when die. It works for Soul like games for sure, but I think not all games need to use this.

I have a stressful job, I don't need to be challenge when I play games. At least give us a chill option, & I will be fine.

I have a stressful job, I don't need to be challenge when I play games. At least give us a chill option, & I will be fine.

"Souls like" gets thrown around a lot, most of the time it isn't.

This game looks more like a God of War type game than a Souls game.

ACG's preview even threw God of War like feel. I'm not sure I saw anything that reminded my more of Souls games.

When they said soullike, often they refer more to the gsame system, & not how th egame plays,

like
1) checkpoint save (another thing I hate, especially annoying when they are spreaded too far)

2) Single file save (another thing I hate, when you save at bad spot, or gitch, or file corrupt, thats it) Happened to me playing Metro. The save kicked in when I was low on ammo health, & bunch of mobs. Game over. Never played after that

3) Mobs respawn when activate checkpoint (hate this also, travilise effort to fight every mobs, knowng they be back again, I prefer they stay dead & limited only some hot areas that always have mobs for grinding, and after story point update to same area, with tougher versions of mobs)

4) Usuually game is hard

5) You lose some upgrade 'souls' on death, & need to pick up again, & lose it completely if you die before picking up. ( I don't mind losing exp or souls I gain before the checkpoint, but losing accumulated souls, not a fan.

I'd have to watch the preview again, but based on gameplay I wasn't seeing anything that would make me think it was souls like. I'm not even sure I heard that until here.

According to Steam. I know they have a souls like category.
