Fable Legends no longer XB1 exclusive, coming to PC as well

Microsoft has announced at today's Windows 10 event that Fable Legends, the latest chapter in Lionhead's long-running Fable series, is heading to the PC, and will feature cross-platform play with the Xbox One version of the game.

"We think enabling people to play multiplayer games on Windows 10, across Xbox One and Windows 10, will unlock the potential of Xbox Live and grow [the] social network that's there today," Xbox boss Phil Spencer said, as reported by Polygon.

Fable Legends on PC is cool, but the big development here is the promise of widespread cross-platform play between Windows 10 and the Xbox One. If that actually catches on (and call me a relentless pessimist if you will, but I think that's still a pretty big "if"), it could have a huge impact on the PC gaming space, and Microsoft's presence in it.

Fable Legends is set to come out later this year.

Indeed cross game on Microsoft platforms is great news.
 
This is good news! Casual games always sell best on PC! :D I might just buy into this game just because that crazy man in charge is no longer in charge. I've never played a Fable game before.
 
BTW, the game is still Xbox One console exclusive.
 
Better thread title would be Cross play now available with the PC for Fable Legends or something like that... because of hurt feelings see above post.
If its good its one less XBO game to look forward 2 as I will prob just get the better version and play 60fps.
If they keep making these games exclusive no longer WITH cross play my PC will get more luv.

Added "coming to PC as well" to thread title, to avoid confusion. Some people will read "not exclusive" to mean it's coming to other consoles.

^^I normally would rather get a console version so I can play with my my friends but with cross platform I can run the game better and still play with my friends.
If I didn't own a XBO and only owned a PC this would keep me from buying a XBO. So yeah games like this give me less to play on XBO.

You make yourself an easy target though. Why make that comment you made....in a pc thread, in a pc forum? It was an obvious dig at PS4. You gave Val a clear line of sight, so he took the shot, lol.
