It's .74 cents and that will be way too much money if you can't run the game. I bought it thinking it'll be a decent old school RPG, but I just can't get his thing to run and the main reason is due to the fact that it was released with very old computers in mind.

System Requirements

  • MINIMUM:
    • OS: Windows 95/98
    • Processor: Pentium 120
    • Memory: 32 MB RAM
    • Graphics: Direct compatible SVGA video card
    • DirectX: Version 6.0
    • Hard Drive: 250 MB available space
    • Sound Card: Direct X compatible sound card

I tried customizing the compatibility, attempted to let the computer configure the settings for me, I used the "-windowed" code in the launch options through steam, looked through the discussions and used all the tips posted, and even installed/uninstalled the game multiple times. Unless you're sure that you can run this game, do yourself a favor and avoid it.

Good Old Games is probably better for this type of stuff, if I remember correctly they make sure the games they sell run on modern operating systems. I remember hearing that the Steam version of RCT2 is buggy as hell, but the GOG version is perfectly fine. Fortunately this is cheap enough it's not a huuuge deal.

It's been a while since I used GoG.com. Might cool it a bit on steam and see what they got new going on over there.

Wow talk about some high minimum reqs. 32 MB of RAM? Do they think we all have top of the line rigs?
