Oh man, I sometimes forget how wild it is to live in California since so much of the population is condensed. I have like 5 wingstop's in a 10 mile radius. about 11 in a 15 mile radius haha.
What I would get excited to see open is a Potbelly sandwich shop. They hit Arizona when I lived there for a few years and never made it farther west.

The closest Potbelly near me closed last year. Had been there for ages.
Only been to Potbelly once in Milwaukee. It was good though but yea I was reading an article on struggling chains and they were on it. Pandemic really screwed them.
Love Porto's. Those beef croquettes and the guava pastries. Got damn.
Have not bee to Portillo's.
That was one of the flavors I was learning towards the most. I'm going to split the order in two flavors.

It is on the hotter side if you're ok with that. Not the hottest they have but maybe like 4/5 on their hot scale.
You are probably correct. But I also don't do those either. I cook at home like 85% of the time, cook at our cabin 10% of the time, and then go to full service restaurants the rest of the time. I don't do full service restaurants like Applebees, Chilis, Olive Garden, etc either. Usually local non chain places, breweries, supper clubs.
I did go to McDonalds last month. For a Shamrock Shake! I get one every year!

I tried the Habit for the first time last week, not bad. It almost tastes like a cross between a wendy's burger and one you'd get from one of those family owned hamburger places, the onion rings aren't bad either but the fries didn't travel well.
