Favorite Movie Scenes.....

This clip is of from an indy film called My Dinner With Andre. It is literally just a concept film of two acquaintances having a conversation in a restaurant. That's it. That's the whole movie.

Most of the movie is a slow paced thing as Wally humors Andre who blabs on and on from a New Age / Spiritualist point of view who seems to connect special meanings to events. Wally decides to stop humoring him and just honestly say he doesn't get the Superstitious mindset.

I happen to enjoy listening to Wally's skepticism; yet also, the dialogue all remains basically civil.

(Some people will think this guy looks familiar. Wallace Shawn was Vizzini in The Princess Bride)

It's hard to describe, but Cemetery Man (Dellamorte Dellamore) is kind of an existential film with zombies.

Besides the undead, there is this surreal practical FX sequence of burning debris forming into the Grim Reaper standing before the Cemetery Groundskeeper.

I think Michael Soavi is kind of a Terry Gilliam protege and it shows in these types of FX.

Like all video game adaption attempts, SILENT HILL was a mixed bag, but I will say they really fvcking tried to make this work visually.

Viktor in some ways I wonder how much Silent Hill could have drawn influence from Hellraiser. The Pyramid Head is kind of Cenobite-like seeming to wear that thing as an instrument of pain.

Mostly meh sequel to Poltergeist, except for this weirdly malevolent performance by Julian Beck chewing scenery as the spirit Henry Kane. I wonder how much Craig T. Nelson had to act or if he was legit freaked out a bit.

What adds to the creepiness of this performance is Julian Beck was a dying man during production. He had stomach cancer and died before the film was released.

I liked the Silent Hill game series but haven't had a chance to watch the movies yet.

I enjoyed Silent Hill, and I knew it was going to be this scene.

Have you seen his crazy interviews on Joe Rogan? He is like a non-stop worker and world traveler.

Oh yes. I’ve gone to his spoken word shows about 7 or 8 times, and I waited around after 2 of them to meet him in person. Intense guy, but really down to earth.

I love this scene. the entire just screams, “you’re f***ed.”

Rocky 4 wasn't the greatest movie of all time. But this was the greatest 7 minutes and 45 seconds ever captured on film.
