After going full time I got eye insurances and today I decided to go to examined for contact lenses. Anyways I couldn't get the hang of putting them in or taking them out. I thought it would be it would be easy but I just couldn't get the idea of sticking something in my eye.

I'm glad I don't need glasses because if I did I'd probably want contacts. I know I wouldn't be able to do it though.

Yeah, the first few times will be a bit weird because your natural reflex is to close your eyes when you feel like something's about to go in it. Just give it some practice and you'll be fine.

I'm mostly content to wear glasses, though I sometimes think it would be cool to get tinted or FX contacts for Halloween.

It's kind of s***ty if you want to do something for Halloween but creatively incorporate glasses into it.

It took me a while, too. Eventually I got tired of the hassles and went back to glasses. I figured, eh, who am I trying to impress.

You might consider lasik eye surgery. I've heard good things from the people who've done it, including my brother and sister. I've never gone in for it myself, probably because I don't mind sticking my finger in my eye, but I'm not crazy about having a laser cut into it ... Seems so irreversible. But supposedly, it's a very safe procedure, and after you're done, you don't need to fool with glasses or contacts ever again.

I hear it's good overall. Just the tough parts being that the healing can be a bit annoying, but that's temporary. My dad got it but bright lights during the night hurt his eyes a bit more now ever since he got the lasik.

When I first got contact lenses, I think I was 19, I cried from frustration the first night. I couldn't take them out. I did it at the eye doctor after like 10 minutes. At home, it took nearly two hours. It was awful. I still get frustrated with a new pair of contacts the first day. I use two week disposable and the first night you take them out they're like super suction cups. It gets me so aggravate if I can't take them out the very first time. I hate wearing glasses. I sometimes wear glasses instead of contacts but it's not often. I wish I can get LASIK but the doc said that my eyes will begin to start switching now. He said I should have done it 10 years ago. I'm better than 20/20 with contacts but awful being 5 inches when I take contacts out and not wearing glasses.

If my eyesight ever goes to hell when I'm older I'll probably do this.

I've worn contacts for the past 20 years or so, and yeah the first few times getting them in and out is extremely tough. It is just such an unnatural thing to do, but once you get it you'll be able to take them in or out without thinking.

Also be careful if your eyes are dry. When my eyes get dry I have a hard time getting my lenses out. A couple of drops of saline will usually do the trick (make sure you get the right solution)

i lost my glasses two years ago and have been driving blind ever since. i get by in bright daylight but it gets a little skecthy on rainy nights. just because I refuse to wear contacts and i refuse to to believe i have a vision problem due to my aging..

I'm with you man. It's the worst when you get woozy because I forgot to take my meds and the road keeps spinning in circles.

At least you're responsible.
