Just kinda weird.

I'm parking my truck at a Walmart in Palatka, FL.

As I got out of my truck, a plain white rough looking van drove by, but on the side it had the words "ESCAPE POD". I'm not sure what that is supposed to convey.

It added a little more to it that the passenger had this vacant Carl Childers 'Slingblade' like vacant expression on his face.

Maybe they're looking for the Mothership.

Technically Georgia but you know being that close to Florida has to rub off

"How is it not derogatory?" the deputy responds. "Some 10-year-old little kid sitting in the passenger seat of his momma's vehicle looks over and sees 'I EAT ASS' and asks his mom what it means; how is she going to explain that?"

"That's the parent's job, not my job," Webb responded.

Just subtly weird.

I'm picking up a load from a shipper in Pensacola, FL right now. While checking in at the counter, I was looking around and the office across the hallway had a mounted deer skull on the guy's desk.

I mean up north, I get some avid hunter might do Taxidermy or have a mounted deer head on the wall. Usually at home, maybe at work if they're redneck enough. Not usually on the desk with it's empty sockets to glare right next to where a client would be sitting.

I now live in CO, where people escape to the mountains from Denver for sanity. When I lived in FL, it was the complete opposite, where you have to escape to the cities or beaches. Everything rural areas is "at your own risk", IMO.

Our main customer is Georgia Pacific Paper and some of their mill facilities are way out in the boonies. The security guard at their place in Hostford, FL looks like Si Robertson from Duck Dynasty

Getting groceries at a Walmart in Palatka, FL dodging assorted weirdos.

Finishing up with the self checkout and some real tall black guy is doing the saggy pants thing down to his goddamn knees while doing acrobatics trying to get his wallet.

Goddamnit pull up your pants.
