The Football/Soccer Thread

Since Wurstland is out, at least I hope one of my neighbour can win, or one of Messi or Ronaldo.

But I hate to admit, England looks pretty strong this year. I much prefer France, but if England can win, then good luck.

Also, its very sad how African teams continue to choke on the big stage, dispite often filled with Talents. As a team, they never seems to performed stronger than the sum of their talents.

Thats the opposite I feel about east Asian teams like South Korea & Japan, which often doesn't have big stars (Korean does have Son, which is one of the best striker in EPL) but perform well above sum of their talent. Japan make football look easy, just pass the ball acurrately. Cross the ball when you reach the end, Sure, they are not tall, but if you try enough time, one will go in.

Good thing is that Germany are still unbeaten in the knock out stages since 2014..

Which is the last time they reached them ;)

Game could have been better. And then could have done with a better ref.

These officials are useless.

Foul on Saka in the build up to Frances goal, foul/penalty on Kane not given. Blatant England corner given as a goal kick.

The pressure on Kane for that 2nd. Actually think someone else should have taken it but if they missed Kane still gets the abuse.
