I think I'm already signed up for the beta. Can't wait.
 
It's a UBI game alright. Possibly the most HUD and icons ever in the history of action games.

Interesting. This is the first time I've seen footage that was like that. I hope there is a way to go hudless.

I've seen videos with even more HUD. But didn't want to bother looking for them. There are some early vids where the top left screen has all kinds of red and blue square icons. Not to label all the minions on the battlefield, but more like MP icons to see who is alive or dead..... or something like that. Or maybe it was flag capture icons.

Most titles I've seen from have UI options like that. I also feel that in general UBI games are really messy and loud on the UI. I tend to switch off pretty much everything as I find that more immersive.
 
Game looks sweet. Watched a tournament on Twitch at PAX this weekend and it looked really cool.

Three maps, three modes and three characters. Doesn't sound too shabby for an alpha demo. 12 gigs in download size.

It looks like I have 1 (maybe 2) invites I can give out to this alpha. It has to be done via uPlay though. If someone wants one add me as a friend on XBL and then in the uPlay app and I'll send them the invite.
 
Sharing content from the Alpha is allowed which is awesome. Fully thats an indicator of the quality. Requirements listed as well:

Got in on the PC version. Recommended specs look good for my aging computer.
 
Just got my closed alpha confirmation with my code to download the alpha. :banana:
 
So it looks like Ubisoft had a revelation stream last night. Has gameplay footage, talking, but seems the main purpose is just givng info on the closed alpha content.

I just hopped on to see if the servers were up, but they are not. It must kick off at 2pm instead.

Yep. I'm sitting there now and it's saying they aren't available yet.

I've been reading the combat manual and damn but does the combat sound complex.

It does sound complex, but I think it will turn out to be pretty simple in general.
 
Well this is hands down a day one for me. It's great. The combat is heavy and vicious and complex enough to make some victories feel very satisfying as you hang on with a sliver of health. It's all about tactics in this game. You don't want to end up facing two hero enemies at the same time but equally you want to have at least one partner when you take on their heroes. There is a very steep learning curve here.

There are loads and loads customiztion options for look and feel and improvements to weapons and armour. From the look of it there will be micro transactions in this for purchasing packs so I hope it doesn't turn into a pay to win type game.

I posted a couple of executions in my feed on my gamer tag if any one wants to take a look.
