To be fair there are more writers listed than just those two, we have no idea how much they contributed.
Truth. They could simply be contributors or just conceptual writing. It certainly doesn't feel like they are writing this- what with the Young Adult fantasy vibe (blech). Or maybe all the marketing is actually independent of the game and it feels totally different in game. I really hope that's the case, because I like the magic stuff... but I'm not optimistic

The effects look great, but everything else looks rough. If it turns out to be good I hope I can set it to Japanese dialogue with English subtitles.

I really dislike the big, generic open worlds. They all look the same

The game looks better in the last two videos but there still seems to be something off with her animation, the sky still looks cheap too.

Are you trying to compare a new IP to the biggest multiplatform game of all time? that false equivalence stuff is ridiculous.
I'm not sure there's a relevant argument to be made over that distinction though. An exclusive by definition means its availability will be limited to a platform and not be available elsewhere like Xbox.

Sony has b!tched and moaned to high heaven about CoD possibly going exclusive or being available on Gamepass while still having access....again possible Sony availability of CoD because if I were MSFT I'd remember how Sony has acted in all this and cut them right the fck off from access to CoD. But in business its always a good idea to not let things get personal.

Anyway, the point I wanted to make is. Sony continues to secure exclusive IP from third-parties. But when MSFT tries to do it there are excuses like........But CoD is too big, we needs the precious on our platform. Its total hypocrisy and it confuses me how anyone can support Sony's double standard. I mean, I do the majority of my gaming on PS5, most of my gaming spending is done on PSN. So its fair to say at this point I'm more of a fan of Sony's platform over MSFT's. Or at the very least I'm more financially supportive of Sony's platform, but I can't get behind their BS complaining about something they still actively participate in.

As for this game itself, its starting to look a little better to me. I really like the last video they put out that showed a lot of great looking animations and flashy powers. The game world still looks a little too empty and lifeless but that could mean that the devs have more to show us as we get closer to release.

There is a big difference IMO, one is a new IP and is likely going to flop it's not an established multiplatform franchise let alone one of the top two biggest selling multiplatform games being taken over by a platform holder who could take it away anytime they want after the three year deal is up. It's only a two year deal so at that point Square can release it on xbox so it's not a true exclusive anyway.

Sony execs would not be doing their job if they didn't try to stop the merger, they make a ton of money from COD each year and they don't want to risk that being taken away. Spencer has had mixed messaging the entire time, sending them a letter saying 3 years on top of the three they are still obligated to do is different than what he's said publicly most of the time let alone his latest statement.
