Finally got the "A Royal Affair" cheevo to pop. What a nightmare.

Still can't get "Dust on a Lens" to pop, though.

"*Edit* It appears as of the June 24th title update, this achievement is glitched and unobtainable. I'll see if I can verify the issue."

then from today:

"I was told from PG Support that it is on the known issues list and they closed the case despite it not actually being on the known issues list. I'm sure it will be fixed in time but really poor effort from PG Support"

That is a sweet ass trailer. Off road is my downfall in this game. I have gotten better over time, but I can't do nowhere as good as I can on paved roads.

I'm in the same boat. I actually have to turn down the AI difficulty on offroad races. Not sure if it is setup or what, but everyone is just way quicker than me. I have no speed or handling on anything I drive.

On an actual road I do fine and usually have the difficulty 1-2 spots above default.

Problem is you don't get better turning down the AI. If you use the race line remember it is conservative and brake later, in some cases you don't need to brake at all. Also remember that the fawtest way through a corner holds true off road too, start wide, apex, exit wide.

I think that I'm just not upgrading my cars for offroad correctly. I always try the offroad parts and my car just bounces like crazy and never sticks. I'm slow in the straights and in the corners which is weird. It isn't my driving line, I simply have no speed. In a long straight line everyone just pulls away from me. I must be spending my upgrade points all wrong.

Been playing it, still in B class. It's a good time. I like crossing things off my list in advancing.

Played 4 or 5 races on the new DLC, fun AF. I don't know how long ago they allowed you to adjust the level of motion blur in the display settings, but it's fantastic I can finally turn that shiznit down / off.

It had been so long since I'd last played the game that I had 23 cars awaiting me in Car Pass.

It's cool. But it's hard. I need to spend more time with it. It might be because I haven't played a racing game in months now.

I'm struggling too. I just have no real speed vs the AI drivers in a straight line. I set up a car with all power and no handling and it helped, but still it is tough to catch everyone in those short races. I'm still trying to get the right car upgrades to be fast.

I'm already getting the "maybe you should turn down the difficulty, old man" popups. :txbmad:

You could try reverting your car back to stock. That can help slow the AI down for off-road races. I think it gives the AI crazy tuned cars sometimes that defy physics on the off-road bits.

What's the AI difficulty now? I left mine on default. I know A and lower classes, it should be fairly easy to beat. Once you get into S1 and S2, it can be a bit more hard.

Honestly, I suck at any real attempt to make things as realistic as possible. I tend to leave things more arcade like.

Yeah, I stick with stock "suggested" cars usually. I've exclusively been using the two Hot Wheels cars I have unlocked at the moment.

I"m finding the Hot Wheels tracks far easier than I did in Horizon 3, where I seemed to crash into the walls constantly. I like how they mix the tracks with "on ground" segments and have the 4 unique biomes. Enjoying it more than I was expecting based on my experience with Hot Wheels in Horizon 3.
