Just want to reply to a post in the previous thread :) Of course the quality of a gaming library is subjective, just because you may like the Forza series doesn't mean it's automatically more important than an MLB game, both are for a specific audience. Also people have been saying from day one that "the PS4 has no games" while pretending the Xbox One has some great library, again the PS4 library matches up very well against what on offer from Xbox One. Neither one has something that I would consider a must buy, the closest thing to that for me would be TLOU remastered but there are good games on both platforms right now just not something I'd consider a game changer.

When it comes to comparing what's releasing this year I'd be careful about continuing to list Quantum Break as a 2015 release, even though it hasn't officially been changed yet I have serious doubts that game will make it out this year, I wouldn't be shocked to see one of the other "big guns" MS has planned this year delayed either, especially after the issues they had with the MCC releasing before it was ready. Not only that but it just doesn't make sense to put out all of your big games at once, they'll just compete with each other for marketing time and money and some will undoubtedly get lost in the shuffle.

It can be subjective, but for discussion purposes subjectively is a waste of time. I mean you state that nothing listed is a must buy, yet I think several are. There really isn't a meaningful discussion to be had there.

If you look at what is coming the X1 has the edge. Not only does it have a heavy hitter in Halo, it also has a big hitter in Tomb Raider. Nothing in the PS4 line-up can compete with either of those.

QB might get delayed, but it hasn't yet. It stays on the list. As for competing with each other and delays, eh. They really aren't competing with each other. Halo and Forza are not like anything else. Tomb Raider and QB are sort of similar but you can spread them apart enough for it not to matter.

Plus, MS already have several big games for 2016. I am sure we will see more for 2016 announced at E3. Moving them to 2016 is not necessarily the best idea.

As for Halo issues, come on. MCC and Halo 5 are very different. MCC had like 4 different engines going on. Some over a decade old.

I own these:

Xbox:

Dead Rising 3
Ryse
Killer Instinct
Titanfall
Forza
Forza Horizons
Sunset Overdrive
MCC
Screamride

PS4
Knack
TLOU
Infamous

For me I need more PS4 exclusive retail releases. Why cant they have all of those Indies plus their major triple AAA franchises? I bought my 4 for the Sony exclusives. Hopefully next year is better.

Next year should be pretty good for the PS4.

Uncharted 4
God of War
Guerilla Games RPG
Maybe Gran Turismo 7 ???
Street Fighter 5 turbo, remix, ultra, Turbo remix Ultra edition.
Morpheus VR

Menace you put Scaleboudn in XB1's list for 2015. I think it's pretty nailed on to be 2016.

To be fair, the "Console XYZ has no games" has been used on both "ends" of the spectrum. Usually used in lieu of "I'm not interested in the exclusives on said platform". Whenever used- it is dumb, because both machines have strong 3rd party support, so even if there were ZERO exclusives, there are still a metric f***-ton great games coming this year.

And no, I don't think the slight differences in versions matter more than dick waving unless you have both machines. Even then, the content is identical and completely playable at near identical frame-rates despite slight resolution discrepancies. If you have to zoom in and slow down footage to highlight differences, then they aren't worth getting worked up over.

Why make excuses for why MCC didn't work? nobody made them release the game lol that was their choice and I'm not pretending they are the only ones that did it, Sony screwed up with DC as well. Halo 4 was IMO the worst Halo game to date and while that could easily be based on my burnout with the series I'm not extremely confident that the developer is capable of capturing what Halo used to be, they sure didn't do it in their first try.

I think quoting Tomb Raider as an exclusive is a bit of a stretch, it's a holiday 2015 exclusive not a full exclusive.

When talking about games coming in the future some people act as if MS is the only company releasing games, they act as if the world will end in 2015 and if a game isn't released by the end of the year it doesn't count. Sony has a lot of devs we haven't even heard from yet. We know Sony Santa Monica is working on GOW and something else, we know Guerrilla Cambridge is working on an open world third person RPG, we don't know what Bend is doing, Japan studios haven't announced everything, we haven't heard from Polyphony yet etc. There will be a ton of exclusive games coming in the next year or two for both machines. I do think someone could argue we've heard about most of what MS is working on, obviously RARE is doing something unannounced but we already know about Gears and Crackdown and that covers most of their studios.

I am not making excuses for why the game didn't work. I am simply pointing out that the circumstances between MCC and Halo 5 are very different, and that the issues of MCC are not likely to transfer to Halo 5.

The world might end in 2015.

Why would a game for 2016 count in a discussion about 2015 line-ups? Yes, Sony has a lot of devs, but they are not showing us anything, yet. Will be interesting to see what they show at E3.

.

I think expecting any Tomb Raider on PS any time soon is a stretch. Someone was even saying 6 months. The developer has NEVER said there is a PS version in the works. There may be, but there is no word yet, so it is a bit premature to think that it's coming any time soon. If it happens, I doubt it will be before Holiday 2016.

Halo MCC is absolutely worth the money for anyone who cared at all about any Halo Campaign. The MP has been a clusterf***, but for me, it's worth every dime even with the wonky MP that is finally shaping up.

Also people have been saying from day one that "the PS4 has no games"

Who said that? On this forum?

again the PS4 library matches up very well against what on offer from Xbox One.

And others disagree. Subjective as you said, right?

Do they frequently delay big games? I would be more cautious about Sony delaying games personally. DriveClub, DriveClub PSN+ Edition, Bloodborne, The Order, Uncharted, The Last of Us, Gran Turismo,...

especially after the issues they had with the MCC releasing before it was ready.

They shouldn't have done that. They probably should have had 343 make the game, but apparently they needed to focus on Halo 5 (based on the beta, they nailed it).

Not only that but it just doesn't make sense to put out all of your big games at once, they'll just compete with each other for marketing time and money and some will undoubtedly get lost in the shuffle.

Good thing they are starting to spread them out more. Even Phil stated holiday/fall was just too busy.

Halo 4 was IMO the worst Halo game to date and while that could easily be based on my burnout with the series I'm not extremely confident that the developer is capable of capturing what Halo used to be, they sure didn't do it in their first try.

Halo 4 was my favorite of the series so far. ODST was my least favorite.

Stating anything other is a stretch.

There is no excuse for MCC or DC, but looked awesome to begin with and from what I understand both are working decently now, but should have been working from the get go.

s*** happens, especially this gen.

The thread doesn't say 2015 game lineup it says game lineup comparison yet the PS4 has no games compared to X1 line has been going around since launch and people are now using what's coming later in the years as a basis for it.

Oh I know and I didn't say it'll be coming to PS4 in January or anything I said it's a Holiday 2015 exclusive because that's what it has been announced as, both the dev and MS have said it's a timed deal and the devs have said they are more than willing to bring it to other platforms so it's really only a matter of time. That being said I fully expect it to be 6 months or so which is totally fine with me.

PC could mean other platforms. Just like Ryse and DR3, both of which were published by MS and never came to ps4.

Remedy the studio behind QB delays games constantly, I'm surprised you didn't know that. I'm glad you liked Halo 4, but you have to admit the online community for it shrank faster than any Halo before it. Tomb Raider is a Holiday 2015 exclusive that doesn't mean a true exclusive. MS's newest studios already have games announced for the most part so again they've mostly blown their load as far as announcements. That doesn't mean there aren't a couple of things coming that we haven't heard about but Sony has a lot of teams we haven't heard from yet.

Like Ryse? you mean the game that Crytek said they'd be open to bringing to the PS4?

Where is it?
It's there.

But the game changed developers, changed names, became more cinematic, got rid of MP, switched "press A" for "press X", replaced swords with guns and replaced 2 hrs of gameplay with 2 hrs of cut-scenes.

Doubt that, wasn't there a petition? I could find the link.
Wouldn't be surprised.

Ryse is arguably among the most cinematic action games on X1. Fits perfectly well with the granddaddy of filmic game watching Order 1886.

For those hoping for or hating the QB delay rumors, seems the guy that tweeted this whole rumor snowball doesn't even work for MS according to Phil Harrison, not only that, he changed his twitter profile description.

To clarify, the [HASHTAG]#QuantumBreak[/HASHTAG] news I posted was a opinion piece NOT a confirmation.I am NOT an official MS employee, like some of you thought

The grain of salt seemed to be quite warranted, as Jim did a complete about face, tweeting the followingand also removing “Dutch Community & Social Media Coordinator at Microsoft” from his Twitter profile.

So add another huge exclusive release to the 2015 list I suppose.

LOL. Give anti-MS guys credit. Nothing like pretending to be a credible source to spread FUD. Good to see Phil Harrison call him out as a fraud.
