Those Bloodborne sales of 1.1 million are actually great. Dark Souls 2 on PS3, 360, and PC, only sold around 2.9 million. That was also with a 4 to 5x larger install base.
I found out that Knack outsold Sunset Overdrive and Knack launched on a much smaller userbase than when SO did. So Knack is better than Sunset Overdrive I guess.
Knack is better than BB.
Yeah it was sort of fun to give xb1 the upper hand, its a bit easy, but with BC its just not even funny.
Proves that individual game sales are not a better indicator then reviews when it comes to comparing games quality.
Absolutely not, that's why sony needs a juggernaut like halo, great sales and great reviews.
And you were right. Game was obviously a hit and it must have been great.
Anyone can have a one hit wonder though, let Cerny try Knack 2 and watch those sales. Even with a larger install base it will sell less and we all know it. The big brands are exactly that, brands that people are confident in, some of them review high constantly AND sell well.
I still don't get the people who think BC is a huge deal 2 years after a console launches. The games won't be improved at all they'll be the same games you've already played warts and all. There were amazing games last gen yes but if you didn't think they were worth making time for 2 or 3 years ago why would you do it now with a new generation of games out there for you to play? I guess BC could have possibly come in handy for X1 owners the first 9 months of this year since they had nothing but Ori to play

Seriously though this fall is when MS is finally going to release some exclusive games, why would you be excited to go back and play old stuff you've likely already played the hell out of or MAYBE haven't played yet when you have the best games your console will have to offer this year coming out at the same time? I know it's a cheap marketing thing when they say buy fallout 4 and you get fallout 3 for free but who's going to make time for both of them?

Its huge, there are plenty of games I want to go back and play that I never got to finish or never started. I don't have a last gen console anymore.
Either way MS deserves huge props for giving people what they asked for. It was the #1 requested feature on xbox and playstation. Suddenly XB1's lineup will increase by over 100 games.
Halo? What is that? Oh thats on that Xbox One system. I used to have one of those. Then the news came out that only sales matter and it disappeared and removed itself from all existence. Too bad though I heard it had some good games coming this year. Must have been a myth.

I think you are confusing the whole issue. Sales never equated quality. I never said that. Popularity is a different story. You don't mind discussing the popularity of the ps4 console, why are the games an issue? We are in a games thread.

That's depressing. SSOD was really fun. Hope there were enough sales to warrant to sequel.

Myself, and many others I am sure, still go back and play old SNES, PS1, GameCube, heck Atari 2600, etc games that are old favorites. Going back just 1 gen and many of the games hold up extremely well compared to current gen titles. Another example, the Tiger Woods golf game from 2013 has a ton more features than the one just released on the next systems so many of my golfing buddies are back playing that version right now.
Surely it's not THAT hard to understand that BC is a pretty big deal for a lot a gamers

What does great mean? You do realize halo 4 was the worst reviewed games in the main series and it scored within 5 points of BB.
Good news but it's late(would of been great if it was possible at launch)will take years for a large amount of games to be playable,not all games will work and the best 360 games already are playable on the PC enhanced (that's how I do it)
What is sweet is the fact that publishers can throw old games in as bonuses..Gears Ultimate for example is a great idea/value because of this.
Since they "need" it whats going to happen if they don't get a series as popular as Halo?
Look, if you're going to have a dick-measuring contest, and you're feeling insecure about your dick, then you've got to rig the ruler; you've got to adjust the units of measurement. So, only AAAs count, only massively popular games count, "niche" games don't count, indies don't count, remasters don't count but BC titles do though streamable last-gen titles don't, only holiday season counts, etc. You've got to make sure you use a very carefully designed ruler, so your dick can appear larger than actual size.
